6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best. 6/24/05	Ah, vacation … And that’s all we have to say here on the subject, but if you’re interested, you can read way more than you want to on the subject inside. We’re really trying to get into the wedding spirit here, by the way. We have something old, something new, something borrowed … but, darn it, we just can’t be blue about it. 6/17/05	It seemed appropriate that we end our first “Official Juli Ashton Week” as we began it — with a D.Minion recap of Night Calls, this time from May of 2005. Not only does it bring us up to date on Juli’s wonderful television program, but it also serves on the eve of a special day for a very special friend. Some of you may know that a couple of Memorial Days back Playboy TV once played nothing but Juli Ashton and Essentially Juli for 24 hours straight. Now you tell me anyone else in the history of adult entertainment that can say that a network has done that for them, and then we can go ahead and discuss vague concepts like “influence” and Fame. 6/10/05	We’ve been thinking a lot about this “special week” coming up, so we decided to spend a little time with our friend. 3/31/05	Kristal creates some Hard Evidence today, as it were, as we have an unusual story with a lot more words than pictures. Still, sometimes that’s how life turns out, and quite honestly it doesn’t take very many pictures of Kristal Summers to reach awe-inspiring status, truth be told. So we tell a few truths; we look at Kristal not meaning to show off, and we thankfully don’t have to warn people about many, many pictures of food establishments and restaurant menus. 3/28/05	A lot of times on a porn site you wouldn’t follow “We found our motel” with the concluding part of the sentence today, “and headed off to the Helium monument.” Right? Well “A long time ago …” (Someone should really write a book with that beginning.) D.Minion met Dee in Amarillo, Texas, and then they travelled across the Great American Desert to get to Los Angeles. At least the “Bonus” section has some interesting interaction, but, basically, this post can be summed up if we tell you what this thumbnail says. “You can’t run with the big dogs if you pee like a puppy.” We have a very odd office. 3/26/05	For some reason people get really afraid of daring punctuation. Maybe primary school English teachers sign some secret oath that mandates that they frighten all young students against anything that isn’t a period or a question mark. Teachers that teach the advancing students can then introduce the comma to the budding minds, but after that the door slams shut …. See? Whatever happened to the good ol’ ellipse? What’s wrong with ALL CAPS to stress a point? And God forbid, on this Easter weekend, that a parenthetical comment ever rear its confusing head. Well, even though we’ve lived on this planet for more than four DECADES, that particular stance still stikes fear into our very soul. Being the regular manly men that we are, though, we immediately rolled over so D.Minion could scratch our cowardly bellies. 3/8/05	You know, one of the hard things about writing is that very often things need to rhyme to flow smoothly off of the tongue, or brain, or whatever. So I’m trying to recount my adventures when I should have been at home watching the dogs and D.Minion’s parents, but instead I find myself (and my bummed-up leg) on a porn set observing the creation of a movie called Purple Skye … Yes. Truth is stranger than fiction. So, anyway, I have now found myself trying to think of a rhyme for “purple” … um … which ranks right up there with “orange” … Then I remarkably decide to just “show dem da money” — at which point all rhymes become superfluous. I really edit much better than I write, but at least we won’t have that “Clown Porn” picture haunting us at the top of the page anymore. One should give thanks for small favors. 6/29/04	Somehow it seems fitting that one of our more colorful members can tie in a very human experience, wisdom from Juli Ashton, and a new way to look at Michael Ninn. One thing about Brother John, he’s not the type of person about whom people have no opinion. Basically, that pretty much sums up our life philosophy around here. My favorite uncle used to wear a baseball cap that said, “Let’s do something, even if it’s wrong.” After all, what if you died, and nobody noticed? 6/19/04	Wendy’s lingerie items have been earning some note lately, which makes a great deal of sense when you look at them. But as much as we like looking at pictures of Wendy in lingerie, it still doesn’t compare to actually seeing Wendy in person. Sadly, we’re not able to do that for this round of LA Erotica, but while the gang’s all roaming the room, compiling God knows what all, those of us not actually attending this year decided to remind everyone what a visually compelling couple Wendy Divine and Eric Masterson make. We found a D.Minion story validating the theory, and we found 75 pictures to go along with it. If you can’t go to the convention, this makes for a nice way to forget your misery. The Los Angeles Convention Center is big, but it’s not that big. Not everyone can attend, so we figure we’ll have lots of company in our misery. We love that. 6/16/04	I’ve been using “computers” since we stored data on cassette tapes. I remember when we thought a Ten Megabyte hard drive was just ridiculous. No one could ever use that much storage space. The “new” 3-1/4” floppies were almost as good as sliced bread. I know something about computers. But D.Minion can do things with electonics that baffle even folks a lot smarter than I am. She gets error messages that I’m pretty sure Microsoft just put in as a joke — knowing no one would really ever do what it would take to get that message. Why is this important? Because in today’s Night Calls Report, D.Minion has done some truly amazing things with her digital camera, although she claims she has no idea how. It doesn’t really matter, because Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath (and guests) look good, no matter how you look at them. 6/15/04	Those of you that have been looking for more Porno Manager Lessons, you’ll be quite happy today. 6/8/04	Have you ever been just beside yourself with anticipation? Well, in actuality that probably has very little to do with Inside Myself, which happens to be Anais’ next movie, just out from Ninn Worx. Still, probably some people really looked forward to it, and so we’ll stick with the intro. D.Minion was on her mark with the pictures this time around, although having Anais, Dee, Isabella, and Nikita Denise as subject matter probably didn’t hurt anything. In case you’re wondering, there are also dogs eating eggs, old mechanical equipment, motorcycles, wonderful architecture, and school-girl outfits. D.Minion died and went to Heaven. 6/7/04	You ever notice how things seem to go around in cycles? Here we hadn’t seen Lola in about a year, and then she shows up on Night Calls. And now, coincidentally, she reappears, this time playing with Kristal in D.Minion’s account of Not Another Porn Movie. Well, there will be a lot of Kristal today, but that’s OK. We do feel sorry for Maverick, however, as there are many, many pictures from which he will have to choose his new Message Board Icon. Come to think of it, maybe that serves him right.
6/4/04	Every time we try to get “official” with our handling of the web site by programming some functions to operate automatically, we get something wrong. We end up spending a lot of time and money, and then a stupid period or space or something is in the wrong place, and everything grinds to a halt. Consequently, many of you probably didn’t see the June 1st post (below), which was supposed to work in the fancy way, but everyone seems to have seen the June 2nd post — which we did the old fashioned way. Rather than dwell on our stupidity, however, we’ve decided to just ignore it and concentrate on Day Two of Angel Cassidy’s Sex, Money, Power shoot, which has not only a bit of Anais again, but also a whole bunch of Dee.
