11/27/11	However you define it, we have a lot to be thankful for around here this year. Shayla and Cytherea have launched themselves into their sites with happy (and often naked) abandon. Maverick continues to evolve with 247AdultStars.com, and Michael finally won his David and Goliath battle against the (allegedly) evil 800-lb gorilla of a corporate powerhouse. D.Minion continues in her inimitable way, which turns out to be fairly safe to say, because as far as we know, no one has ever tried to imitate her, actually. … As for this end of our first (and with any luck last) Thanksgiving Weekend Blast, we’re spreading a little Love today. 11/26/11	Out in the “real world” it can be pretty difficult to find someone that will staunchly defend the intellect of a person that has chosen a profession in the adult industry. You show us a parent thrilled that their daughter picked “Porn Star” as a career choice, and we’ll show you someone in dire need of rehab of one sort or another. Of course, almost none of these “real” people have ever met Shayla LaVeaux, and that’s a pity. Now naturally we realize the irony in pitying someone that at best pities us, but we enjoy irony. 11/25/11	Honestly we don’t even know if the term “Black Friday” qualifies as Politically Correct anymore, although the media seems comfortable enough with it. Apparently we can use colors to describe anything except people — unless they’re white, in which case some other set of rules apply entirely. Of course that being the case has probably caused all the confusion and distress in the first place, so there’s that. Well, we happily avoid this controversy completely today, as we welcome Maverick and 247AdultStars with an entirely new section of his site, although as far as we know he has not as yet assigned a color to it. Best we should remember that the last item in Pandora’s Box happened to be “Hope” perhaps. 11/17/11	We would have to admit that Much Ado About Nothing has significantly more literary merit than you will likely find inside the Members’ Area today. Also, we find reason to give you some really sneaky news about one of our friends, and we tap Renee Perez to do so — also very illustrative, by the way. … OK, so “pure” might not be the appropriate adjective, perhaps, but we’ve never been big on being appropriate anyway. 11/6/11	Today happens to be D.Minion’s favorite day of the year — at least as far as days go where she doesn’t get to order milk in a bar and embarrass the rest of us. 11/3/11	Just when you think you’ve heard everything, right? … Apparently a professional football player got arrested in Boston on Halloween night for “indecent battery” as the media reported it. Now pro athletes doing monumentally stupid, even illegal, things comes as no surprise to anyone, and you certainly can’t go around groping whomever you feel like on a dance floor, but did the state of Massachusetts ever consider that having such a law on the books seems to imply that such a thing as “decent battery” exists? Fortunately someone allegedly much smarter than those of us around here has to figure all that out while we can concentrate on the actual A.J. Bailey and Capri Anderson. The CyCAM makes its episodic debut today, and while potentially as noteworthy as shutting down the major North/South interstate in Los Angeles, it probably won’t make the television news anywhere. 7/4/11	We attended a workshop at a conference once where the speaker began his talk by saying, “We only walk by continually beginning to fall forward.” While we can’t really speak to the relevance for that specific workshop to what followed in our professional careers, since none of us can even remember which one it was – or even what city we were in when we heard it – we have employed the sentiment on occasion. For example, we can see how the theory applies to the freedoms celebrated in America on July 4^th, even if many of us face $2,000 fines should we seek to create our own Rocket’s Red Glare instead of simply enjoying those of the government-sponsored variety. Perhaps most of all, however, Freedom (with a capital “F” don’t you know) allows us to voice introspection and illustrate our points with beautiful naked women. All in all that does seem safer than potentially blowing off your hand or burning the town down. 3/23/11	As it turned out, today seems a rather odd day to be “Flying Under the Radar” as was our plan. We lost a Hollywood legend this morning, and odd as it seems we’ve often used Elizabeth Taylor as an example to risque clients that there certainly exists a way to be both sexy and classy. (Then we usually follow that comment by noting that you really don’t have to get married eight times just to enjoy sex with different people, but that’s sort of off-topic right now.) 3/12/11	Most of you probably haven’t spent much time looking at web traffic statistics, because, let’s face it: Why in the world would you want to do something as horribly geeky as that? 3/11/11	Nary as mystical a thing exists for a typical male as a “Girls Night Out” – well, except a “Girls Night In” probably. 8/30/08	Oops. You’ve undoubtedly read somewhere about the importance of being a good example for your children, indeed for anyone around you as a practical matter. You know, “You lead much better by example than you ever will by direction” and all that. (For now let’s just forget about that whole Machiavellian philosophy and Sun Tzu, Art of War things. They’re overrated anyway.) … Well, somewhere along the line our buddy Maverick determined that our particular brand of humor must constitute the “proper” way of all web presentation. Consequently if you decide to foray further today, you’ll likely see some, um, video creation that firmly demonstrates our failure as exemplary figures. Of course Mav now thinks that every American uses “y’all” as a part of their normal conversation and all of us have alarm clocks that play “Titties ‘n’ Beer” every morning. 8/29/08	Oh, D.Minion was floating in the excited clouds today. She’s learning video editing — because creative people always get bored, basically — and she decided to start with a video scene from Essentially Juli between Taren Steele and Juli Ashton. 8/24/08	All good things come to an end, at least that’s what people who are trying to rationalize their condition after realizing that they won’t be able to enjoy something that has been really fun try to think. For us, having the Olympics on pretty much all the time in the office has been a splendid way to add a little mix to the mesh. We will miss it for the next couple of years, but we have learned about a whole lot of countries we’d never even heard of, so that’s a bonus. Also for us, assisting Maverick with his redesign has come to an end as well — which goes to show that even not necessarily all that good things come to an end too. Whew. Now we’re able to go back to the more fun adventures, this time involving our much more traditional entertainment in Kristal Summers and Dee. Everyone should have closets full of things like we do. 8/15/08	It seems like our invitation to the big premiere party for “The Four” must have gotten lost in the mail. Dang. Consequently we decided rather to spend our entertainment dollars on Rodney Carrington, who happened to be in town. We figured out why Mr. Carrington enjoys our site (at least as much as we’re sure he would if he actually knew who we are, naturally). Early in his act he relates a story about going to church that certainly sounds like us. “My heart’s in the right place,” he says, “It’s just my mind that wanders off into the gutter.” … Now this really has nothing whatsoever to do with D.Minion’s coverage of Angel Cassidy Exposed, but it was funny. 8/12/08	We can’t help it. International sports has been a common topic of conversation around the office this week, and so we got to wondering. 8/11/08	Oh, good grief! We turned on the Olympics each of the past two weekend mornings, and can you guess what NBC was showing? Yep. Rowing. … Worse yet, on Saturday, the UK team beat the US team, although we can’t say we were paying enough attention to determine if this happened to be some qualifying heat or some other kind. Still, what are the odds? Well, in addition to dodging phone calls from Maverick we also decided to show off something that not even one Olympic competitor can claim. Dee. 8/8/08	We had to post today, because all those eights are really good luck, and we can generally use all the luck we can find. If you knew about eights being good luck, and you’re not Chinese, then odds are good you’ve been watching all the hype for the opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing tonight. In the spirit of friendly competition we thought we’d feature a couple of a different kind of athlete today, albeit in slightly less clothing. OK, actually Faith Leon and Puma Swede basically have no clothing at all, which really makes it hard to get those endorsement deals, you know. Maybe if Nike starts making high heels or something. … So in the spirit of friendly taunting (that often accompanies that friendly competition), we called Maverick to ask if the Brits even watch the Olympics or if it’s just too depressing. Mav said they often do well in “rowing” …. Uh-Huh. We often pop down to the sports bar and slug down some beers while we watch “rowing” on TV. That sure gets exciting. Don’t they have a silly name for it like skullduggery or something? Sometimes the world stage ain’t all it’s cracked up to be, and you should really just watch girl on girl porn. 8/2/08	Although we’re thankfully back to the “beautiful naked woman” philosophy, somehow our beloved D.Minion has managed to work in 70’s television themes, specifically involving The Mod Squad this time around. We’ve often wondered how DM’s unusual brain actually works, and then we pretty quickly become very afraid that some day we’ll find out. … If you drink enough beer quickly after these disturbing thoughts, it can help take away the fright, by the way.
