Regardless of our chosen career, most of us have at one point or another in our lives suddenly realized the weight of some choice we have made, and nobody has ever thought, “Oh, great! More weight!” … Still, one needs to view life on balance, and given that perspective, it’s probably a lot better to look like Gemma Massey than not. Apparently the members’ party story the other day raised a lot of questions via email about Kristal’s “visitor” to the event. Given the comfort and, well, visual appeal of this guest, we understand how eyebrows raised and curiosity piqued. Rather than answer a slew of emails individually, we decided to just dig up the introductory piece we did around that time explaining the history and the thoughts at the time. As a general principle, the more a movie budget decreases, the amount of cleverness required to make something memorable increases. If you throw a bunch of money at something, of course, that will not necessarily make it a hit — or even interesting — but at least you can get first-rate special effects and explode a bunch of stuff to distract people.
