3/29/08	And now for something completely different. … OK. So those of you that have been members for some time probably realize that one could use that particular sentence referring to just about anything we’ve ever done around here. But we did make a conscious effort this time. After our last “topless girls pretending to wrestle” effort, we decided we should do something as far away from that “fluff” as possible. It didn’t take very long for someone to say, “Well, D.Minion on any of the Neo_ sets would fit that bill perfectly.” We decided this to be perfectly true, and so we’re heading into this particular “matrix” with DM on the set of Neo_Pornographia 4 – because why in the world would we start with number one, after all? Oh, and the person that came up with this idea has now received a very public “Thank You” for the suggestion, which turns out to be a lot cheaper than giving them an actual raise in salary. It seems that we’ve been ignoring those particular contributions, but we can assure you that it’s only because of volume rather than malice. (Never attribute to malice what stupidity can adequately explain.) 6/30/07	It may seem hard to believe, but we always read and (mostly) listen to the member emails that come in. Now we can’t say we always follow the “advice” since some of the “suggestions” seem to be physically impossible, but some of them are actually nice, and those we tend to pay attention to. We also like giving friends a semi-public chance to “vent” when life has given them lemons … or marshmellow bunnies, or something … and so we’re able to accomplish two goals very early in the process today. We get to see a lot of “Dee Behind the Scenes” changing clothes and generally being adorable and we get to learn some history that involves many, many naked women. All in all, with this much accomplished before nine o’clock in the morning, we’d better go spend some quality time with the dogs. 6/26/07	Details remain sketchy at this point, but it appears that D.Minion and Lon had a meaningful experience with Julia Ann over the weekend – which happened to include the use of a bed. 6/17/07	We’re off to a geek convention so that we might learn new and improved ways to be confused in our everyday efforts, and then we’re staying down for the Erotica LA Convention next Weekend. Now as we understand it, one should make a practice of being kind to strangers, and so that’s what we’re doing in this particular mega-venture to entertain you in our absence. While Maverick doesn’t qualify as someone we don’t know obviously, we can assure you with absolute certainty that he is indeed stranger than most people you’ll ever meet. Lamenting his failure to arrange a visit to correspond with our upcoming parade with porn stars, he … let’s say, unhappily … pointed out that we never made time to publish his … let’s say unique … adventures at the AEE last January. So we’ve made the (considerable) effort to do that. Without providing too much editorial comment at this early juncture, let us just point out that you could read 1,000 words and look at 100 pictures on each of the seven days covering our little trip here, and you’d still have four more pictures to go – along with Heaven knows how many words. Culture is a curious thing; add it to the XXX world, and you’ve got an interesting animal to say the least. 6/14/07	You know what’s good about Mia Smiles? Well, darned near everything if you want to know the truth. I was sitting outside a little sandwich shop yesterday and a guy walked down the street in one of those t-shirts that have obviously been washed about 500 times – you know the “favorite shirt” kind of washing? The shirt said, “If we are what we eat, then I’m going to be you in the morning.” THAT’S how you know you’re in Los Angeles. Now you might want to decide if you’d rather spend a few days in LA, or (finally) peruse D.Minon’s account of the 2006 AEE. They should both take about the same amount of time, we’re betting, but the DM insights will still be cheaper, so they have that going for them. 2/21/06	We’ve got a Big Time Stall going on around here today, but that doesn’t matter as much because we’ve also got the luscious Sarah Blake to help us fill our time. We’ve often said that we lead a very strange life, but it may be that strangeness has no bounds around us. A graduating high school senior (Yes, he’s 18, D.Minon.) casually asked me at lunch if I knew anything about Porn Stars. It seems his final paper has to do with “Women Enslaved by Pornography.” And the only thing this kid knows about me is that I’m friends with his dad. I expect I’d better ask Dad how much I can tell the young inquiring mind. As it turns out, I probably do know something about this subject. The rest of you should probably just enjoy Sarah. 10/23/05	You know what’s worse than your team losing in the last 10 seconds? Being in such a hurry to get the post up in order to watch the game that you forget the “New Stuff” link, and THEN having your team lose in the last 10 seconds … by one point … because of a missed field goal … by one of the most accurate field goal kickers in NFL history. OK, so put a technical date of 10/25/05 on this post, because after the proper amount of grieving time, we happened to notice this little clerical error. 10/20/05	Our conversations about the relative nature of “Innocence” have been going on at the office for about a week. 10/15/05	So the hectic pace around here lately has led to way too many episodes of fast food and pizza delivery. We started realizing that we were probably lacking in some important vitamins, and unless somebody recently changed the four basic food groups to be Triscuits, Beef Jerky, Skittles, and Beer, we might be missing some other things on the nutritional scale too. Then we realized that we’d been lacking Dee stories as well. Obviously we decided that concepts of “Good Health” remain clearly relative, and then we sent D.Minion out for more beer. 10/12/05	Don’t you love words to live by? “If you can’t be a good example, at least you can serve as a horrible warning.” That’s what I learned in a book I was reading recently. At then outside the Adult Video News offices I noticed a bumper sticker that highlighted a Voltaire quote, saying, “Those that can convince you of absurdities can get you to commit atrocities.” All in all it’s been a pretty deep week, it seems to me. OK. That’s pretty much it, although you can look at some pictures if you want. This would be another one of those entries where I’d skip the words if I were you. 10/1/05	Here’s something that seems like good advice: “Let us not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments.” Of course, it assumes you understand both the literal definition of impediments as well as the psychological concept of true minds. This could be a problem. Gosh. Instead of really icky educational stuff we’re thinking that Angel Cassidy Exposing herself might be a fine diversion.
