6/29/06	We have a curiously brief report on Erotica LA today, possibly having something to do with D.Minion’s sudden (and almost unexplained) incapacity. Gee. We just can’t figure out what happened. But there are 60 pictures here, and some video clips of items seen at the show that almost uniformly have no practical application. Come to think of it, that pretty much defines our goal in life. 6/25/06	LA Erotica was actually a bit wackier this year than it has been historically, and we’re blaming D.Minion. That seems fair since she’s been hanging out with Lorraine Sisco altogether too much and has plastered us with 310 pictures, a secret mpeg, and 3000+ words covering the bizarre second day of Lorraine’s The Catalyst. These two women should quit hanging out so much together, and so we’ve decided just to tie DM to a chair in the office, or maybe to one at her house so she could commune with her cat. We’re definitely breaking her keyboard, so enjoy these Mega-Epics while you can. Some day we’ll look back on this and laugh … She swears. 6/20/06	It’s a bit of nostalgia, with stories of a young Devinn Lane, and it’s a bit of awe, as we look at all the Wicked Pictures can do with a DVD release, and it’s more than a bit of the shamelessness that makes us loveable that we’re offering today. Well, maybe we’re not loveable, per se, but that’s really the only word we could think of on the spur of the moment, and we didn’t want to delay you any further from D.Minion’s review of Wicked’s Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre. 6/19/06	Well don’t everyone fall off of their chairs or anything, but we’re back again. The new system seems to be working remarkably well (although we’ll almost certainly regret saying that). We’re going with just a typical little D.Minion story today, this being her “pre-production observations” of Sacred Sin. We looked at the entire story in Word and learned, much to our dismay, that the entire discourse covers some 10,027 words. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, our immediate suggestion was to just give y’all a dozen pictures and let you keep the change. D.Minion’s look was not one of adoration at this suggestion, however. So we’re breaking it up, and we promise to get through it all – if for no other reason than everyone here is pretty much afraid of D.Minion. Women in their 40’s get a little scary you know … . 6/18/06	This isn’t so much a “let’s see if this works” kind of thing as it is a “OK. Fine. We’ve been promising you we’d do this since the Dark Ages (translation: Before Sacred Sin), so now we’re finally doing it.” sort of thing. That said, we still ended up with a rather intimate portrayal of a Fine English Lass named Faye, courtesy of our friend Maverick. Granted, Mav sometimes forgets to focus, and he never once looked into the background of the shot, but considering what Faye was doing and what she was (or was not) wearing, we can kind of understand the scattered approach. For an evolved amateur, Maverick seems to be catching on just fine. He even included a couple of variations on a video theme that we’re just going to stop talking about now, and for the record, we’re just going to assume he’s not the “P” in “POV” … . 6/17/09	Experimentations and Confirmations continue as we struggle desperately to find something to serve the dual purpose of being interesting for you, and giving us a chance to stretch the limits of our server capabilities. 6/17/06	Those of you that have been members for awhile will recognize the “Gee, we tried to automate the mechanics here, and we’re just sufficiently weird in the way we approach the web that even really smart web people can’t figure out how to fit us into any sort of automatic database system.” Ah, well. Quite honestly this isn’t the first area in life where we’ve continued to learn that we just don’t fit in all that well. … So we’re back to the old “do it by hand” method, and we’ve got to run through the variety of different types of posts that we do in order to be sure everything’s back to normal — well, normal to us. You can start today to see if things Clique for you as they have for many people (judging from sales of the title), and we’ll move along to the next “hand-crafted” category. 6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best. Not only does it bring us up to date on Juli’s wonderful television program, but it also serves on the eve of a special day for a very special friend. Some of you may know that a couple of Memorial Days back Playboy TV once played nothing but Juli Ashton and Essentially Juli for 24 hours straight. Now you tell me anyone else in the history of adult entertainment that can say that a network has done that for them, and then we can go ahead and discuss vague concepts like “influence” and Fame. 6/29/04	Somehow it seems fitting that one of our more colorful members can tie in a very human experience, wisdom from Juli Ashton, and a new way to look at Michael Ninn. One thing about Brother John, he’s not the type of person about whom people have no opinion. Basically, that pretty much sums up our life philosophy around here. My favorite uncle used to wear a baseball cap that said, “Let’s do something, even if it’s wrong.” After all, what if you died, and nobody noticed? 6/21/04	Well, Georgia and Anais have headed off to their distant homes, as have interns Mr. Lon and Mr. Maverick. 6/19/04	Wendy’s lingerie items have been earning some note lately, which makes a great deal of sense when you look at them. But as much as we like looking at pictures of Wendy in lingerie, it still doesn’t compare to actually seeing Wendy in person. Sadly, we’re not able to do that for this round of LA Erotica, but while the gang’s all roaming the room, compiling God knows what all, those of us not actually attending this year decided to remind everyone what a visually compelling couple Wendy Divine and Eric Masterson make. We found a D.Minion story validating the theory, and we found 75 pictures to go along with it. If you can’t go to the convention, this makes for a nice way to forget your misery. The Los Angeles Convention Center is big, but it’s not that big. Not everyone can attend, so we figure we’ll have lots of company in our misery. We love that. 6/16/04	I’ve been using “computers” since we stored data on cassette tapes. I remember when we thought a Ten Megabyte hard drive was just ridiculous. No one could ever use that much storage space. The “new” 3-1/4” floppies were almost as good as sliced bread. I know something about computers. But D.Minion can do things with electonics that baffle even folks a lot smarter than I am. She gets error messages that I’m pretty sure Microsoft just put in as a joke — knowing no one would really ever do what it would take to get that message. Why is this important? Because in today’s Night Calls Report, D.Minion has done some truly amazing things with her digital camera, although she claims she has no idea how. It doesn’t really matter, because Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath (and guests) look good, no matter how you look at them. 6/15/04	Those of you that have been looking for more Porno Manager Lessons, you’ll be quite happy today. 6/11/04	Becoming somewhat typical in her fashion, today D.Minion shows us a couple of completely unexplained photographs of cars in a parking lot, and one of what looks like an old hand-lettered piece of paper taped to an aging stainless steel wall. The other 67 pictures, however, are of Anais, Mia Smiles, and new Hungarian hunk Mario having a fine time completing Day Two of Inside Myself. All in all, then, it might be worth popping in and seeing what was up. 6/8/04	Have you ever been just beside yourself with anticipation? Well, in actuality that probably has very little to do with Inside Myself, which happens to be Anais’ next movie, just out from Ninn Worx. Still, probably some people really looked forward to it, and so we’ll stick with the intro. D.Minion was on her mark with the pictures this time around, although having Anais, Dee, Isabella, and Nikita Denise as subject matter probably didn’t hurt anything. In case you’re wondering, there are also dogs eating eggs, old mechanical equipment, motorcycles, wonderful architecture, and school-girl outfits. D.Minion died and went to Heaven. 6/7/04	You ever notice how things seem to go around in cycles? Here we hadn’t seen Lola in about a year, and then she shows up on Night Calls. And now, coincidentally, she reappears, this time playing with Kristal in D.Minion’s account of Not Another Porn Movie. Well, there will be a lot of Kristal today, but that’s OK. We do feel sorry for Maverick, however, as there are many, many pictures from which he will have to choose his new Message Board Icon. Come to think of it, maybe that serves him right.
6/4/04	Every time we try to get “official” with our handling of the web site by programming some functions to operate automatically, we get something wrong. We end up spending a lot of time and money, and then a stupid period or space or something is in the wrong place, and everything grinds to a halt. Consequently, many of you probably didn’t see the June 1st post (below), which was supposed to work in the fancy way, but everyone seems to have seen the June 2nd post — which we did the old fashioned way. Rather than dwell on our stupidity, however, we’ve decided to just ignore it and concentrate on Day Two of Angel Cassidy’s Sex, Money, Power shoot, which has not only a bit of Anais again, but also a whole bunch of Dee. 6/30/03	We’re taking a moment to publicly apologize to SteveD today. We’re sorry we ever had the unkind attitude that called your picture taking skills into question. We’re very sorry, in fact, and we’ll never do it again. Today we have the “Mini-Minion” report on Erotica LA, and Mav managed to include 135 photographs to illustrate it. Some were in focus. Some even had people in them. However, ALL of them were horizontal. We’ve never seen anything like it. It’s amazing. So, SteveD, we’re sorry. We’ll never cast aspersions on your photograhic integrity again … probably … we think … possibly. (Hey, it could happen.) We haven’t learned much from this besides if you have to be sober and drooling, it’s good to have Kristal to blame for it. 6/21/03	You didn’t think we were just going to leave you for an entire weekend with just a singing dog for company, did you? Does that sound like the kind of thing we would do? OK, it does, but this time we didn’t. If true genius lies in the interpretation of communal media, we have yet more evidence of Mr. Ninn’s true genius. He can look at the same thing we all do, but he just sees it in a different way. Case in point, his promotional debut of Anais. 6/20/03	We interrupt the regularly scheduled Ninn Worx Weekend to tell you that the truly unthinkable has in fact occurred. It was raining in Los Angeles in late June. Guess who’s still in town … Point in fact, and in penance probably, our buddy Maverick’s gone and given us all another gift, though. The inspiration went as follows: We returned home from a convivial mid-day meal with the incomparable Michael Ninn. Fascinating conversation flowed as Michael and Maverick dazzled each other with the depths of their personal philosophies. They talked of Kafka and Camus, of Aristotle and Aerosmith. (It was truly strange.) Then we pulled into the driveway and noticed we had a guest at our home. 6/17/03	Maverick’s been a busy little beaver, well, hampster, during his visit here, and he’s now created some really groovy new screen savers for everyone. We have noticed a trend. The new plan around the office is to just threaten manual labor as a diversion, and the bright young chap will come up with all sorts of things to keep him busy and make the site better. The leaders of the Revolutionary War should have known about this trick. You do have the benefit here of being able to see Kristal Summers in her first hard core boy/girl action, helped along with Inari Vachs. You also have the benefit of seeing how Anais managed to struggle through a couple of modeling sessions on her first days on a XXX shoot. 6/10/03	Well, Maverick’s in town, and as you guessed we haven’t seen the sun in Los Angeles for two days. To make matters worse, he had the audacity to complain (during his last visit) about the truly wonderful and fun slide show that Craig put together for us. That particular fascinating escapade we finished coding before the sun even set on Day One. Maverick, our good friend, brought us an entire new section of downloadable wallpapers, featuring all of our favorite women. We technically made it a “today” post, but this is another of those that only count in you live on the West Coast or in Hawaii. All of you can enjoy these new toys. 6/9/03	Because we’re quite certain that all of our Members are fans of Victorian Literature, we’ve begun a new section for the site called “Dear Readers Speak.” (Actually, we had to call it something, and that seemed quick.) It’s basically just going to be a place where we can post interesting stories about, well, whatever. Every once in awhile we get some fascinating emails in, and now we have a place (given permission) to post them. We open with a little personal history regarding a woman from porn’s past named K.C.
