9/22/16	The first day of a new season in Southern California honestly feels pretty much the same no matter which new part of the year we happen to be entering. We do understand the concept of fall colors and brisk motivations, however, so we’ve borrowed a bit of assistance from Reel Risqué in the presentation of our own version of Golden Girls. Sometimes people new to SoCal might feel like they really miss the actual “seasons” of most of the country. 9/10/16	Uncle Gibby rolls into the convention coverage proper now, even as we all realize that the plethora of “Packers must Win the Super Bowl This Year” parties roll into all of Wisconsin this weekend. 9/8/16	Contractual Obligations with D.Minion require us to provide alternate entertainment options for the (perhaps mythical) people that do not focus completely on the National Football League. Sadly, these contracts do not compensate us madly as do typical NFL deals, but they do keep the Chickadees from whining at us, so that’s a plus. Honestly, this year could prove a useful diversion, truth be told. “Our” team goes up against the reigning league MVP heading a team with six-months’ worth of pent-up frustration, and we lead with a fellow from a college known for academics who a couple of years ago had a big game against Purdue. 9/5/16	Right after the annual Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas there are hundreds of “news” posts about the event. We would hate for people to miss our truly unique and wonderful coverage, after all, so we generally wait until the fall — just in time to start getting people excited for next January. Now we will admit that the people who enjoy our particular slant tend to like it a lot and think we’re great, while the people that just don’t get it probably think, “Those Risqué People are crazy.” … Oddly enough, both camps would be correct. 9/2/16	Should you decide to manage a web site at any point in your life, you will be faced with two primary schools of thought regarding updates. Some make the argument that many, smaller, “posts” make for a better user experience, because people tend to be busy, so they do not really have time to get through a long update before they have to leave to do something weird, like have a regular life. Others feel that fewer, although lengthier, additions to the site fit busy schedules better because people do not have time to log in every day, and if you do a lot of small updates they may miss something in their absence. If you have been a member of any of the Risqué Communes sites, you know that we basically use both strategies, basically at random. Our philosophy, you see, reasons that if you have updates of any size which feature Inari Vachs, Kristal Summers, and Stephanie Swift, people will figure it out. 11/30/14	You know how the day before a long weekend turns into only technically a work day most of the time? Well, mix an upcoming four-day weekend with 80-degree temperatures at the beach, and … well, you’ll have to read it to believe it. In the alternative, you can enjoy some rather dazzling Inari Vachs views along with some Extraordinarily Risqué Thanksgiving Leftovers. 11/28/14	Uncle Gibby gets a little help with Day Four of his “tempt everyone to come to the AEE in January” efforts. 11/27/14	Everyone should take about 20 minutes of their day off today and walk a mile or so around wherever you call home. Honestly it won’t take more than that for you to come up with many reasons for Giving Thanks on this day dedicated for such. Too often we get caught up in the minutiae of our lives to the point where we lose sight of what’s really important and how many people have it much worse than we do. 11/21/14	Our plan about getting everyone excited about the upcoming (“and completely revamped” as we hear it) convention in Las Vegas for AVN seems to be working almost too well. Now everyone in the office has been whining about how each of them really needs to go this year and what wonderful things they could accomplish if given the chance. Consequently it seemed appropriate to enhance Uncle Gibby’s Day Three coverage from last year with a little of Michael’s Temptation. Hopefully between that and some dazzling photos of Cytherea taken by Ginger Lynn we can cushion the inevitable despair that will soon follow as folks learn The Vegas Contingent will not change all that much this year. Kylie and Shayla join in the appreciation folder today as well, so basically we’re pretty happy — all except the writers, who remain fairly bitter. 11/7/14	Hundreds of different web sites “cover” the AVN Trade Show in January, and each of them rushes out to be the first on the scene with, well, essentially the same story as last year. Being admittedly weird, we took a different track this year. With stunning cleverness, we held off our day by day reviews, waiting until last year’s coverage could help get everyone excited for next years show. It seemed rather novel to actually give people enough notice to make some plans if they have always wanted to join us at one of these. 9/17/14	Consider the sobriquet. While that was to be the original plan today, courtesy toward friends closed off that avenue of inspection. 9/12/14	According to a psychology text book a ChickaDee brought into the office today, “Some form of hunger, love, hate, fear, hope or ambition gives rise to every human emotion and every human thought.” … While we hate to disagree with any sacred tomes used in our institutions of higher education, this cannot be correct. Clearly they have forgotten sleepy as an attribute. We have other thoughts today too, substantially enhanced by the application of naked women to the arguments.
