2/27/11	Of course we could have just let everyone know that Maverick has his new post up on 247AdultStars.com but then we would have missed out to talk about Cheyenne Silver some more. With all the various negotiations going on around the country, not all of them as newsworthy as the NFL CBA probably, we’ve been refreshing our memories on the classic strategy recommended for “The Prisoner’s Dilemma” around here. 2/24/11	New words enter the English language all the time. We all now use “tweet” in a way entirely different from its traditional associations, for example. Some words appear entirely out of nowhere. You’d be hard pressed to find a person on the planet now that doesn’t know “Google” as both a noun and a verb now. Heck, they even had a big televised “event” when the Oxford American College Dictionary added Rachel Ray’s “EVOO” (Extra-Virgin Olive Oil) to its listings a couple of years ago. Still, with all of that it would be a mistake to ignore some rarely used, yet nevertheless classic, words when they fit a situation. Take for example Matriarch. And then apply it to Shayla LaVeaux. That’s what we do today at least. … And after you’re done enjoying the story (and probably the lesbian videos featuring Shayla, Juli Ashton, Keri Windsor, and Dee) then you can think about what “Extra-Virgin” might mean in our context. 2/21/11	All of us recognize Los Angeles as pretty much the Land of Celebrities, but that fact can still be rather surprising on occasion. For example, we’re not sure exactly which celebrities we might have expected to see sitting courtside at the NBA All-Star Game yesterday, but honestly Stevie Wonder would have been really far down the list of potentials. Of course he did have a guy next to him that seemed to be providing a personal play by play. Still, it does seem an odd choice, even for a rich guy. 2/19/11	Have you ever driven through a particularly bad thunderstorm and had it break a brand new windshield? 2/17/11	Remember how happy you were when you finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel and it did not in fact turn out to be a train? Also, it happens to be her birthday today, and this seemed like a wonderful way to celebrate it. After all we want to keep Dee happy since we might want to get on another ride with her soon. 2/1/11	Apparently over 100 million people find themselves bracing for a brutal winter storm today. And not one of them works in the office here in Southern California. Imagine that. Almost all of us have families elsewhere that generally refer to our place of domicile with some variation of the “Land of Fruits and Nuts” comment, though. (And they don’t mean anything at all having to do with healthy food items, in case you couldn’t tell.) Still, the whole “cultural” issue came to mind, and seemed like a fine launching point for today. If nothing else, our “Jean Pool” approach will distract you from shoveling snow. 11/21/09	Cold weather brings thoughts of bitter cold, too many clothes, travel woes, and general mushiness in many aspects of life, right? 11/15/09	One of the basic tenets around here for the last ten years has been that we should always show the adult industry in its actual light, however dim that may be. After all, only network television routinely scripts “reality” shows, and having a bunch of isolated writers, some making tens of thousands of dollars per episode, set about determining how things “should” be to “look” real has always seemed, well, silly to us. 11/6/09	Steve here (AKA SteveD, Just Steve, for today known as “Mav’s Not Here So Let’s Give That Guy All The Work” ), on location from Risqué central. While bemoaning the Broncos first loss of the season, the topic of Julia Ann came up. I don’t remember exactly how, but if you’ve spent any time with us, you know the topic can quickly shift from just about anything to a beautiful woman — and then to that same woman naked. Why just last night we learned that officials have authorized air support for fighting all the fires currently blazing in California “24-hours a day, during daylight hours” . 8/9/09	Traditionally one thinks of birthdays as happy occasions. Being a fan of happy occasions, then, we decided to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth date of our new old friend, Uncle Gibby. OK, so as a purely technical matter we’re not sure how many times now His Gibbness has celebrated this same 50th birthday, but we definitely missed the real 50th one, so we decided to just go with that. Besides, it seems a safe bet that he didn’t have Anais and Chasey Lain to help him with the original one, so we’re thinking he won’t really mind. 6/30/09	Maverick has won the intra-office race to post the debut report on Erotica LA this year, or at least the opening volley. Our posting queue still seems to be surviving in a bit of a content food processor, though, so as a favor to some of the people working diligently on this side of “the pond” we have created a special page with a not-so-subtle hint as to what’s in store for mid-summer meditation around here. As for Mav, there seems to be a rather prominent theme surrounding British Baked Beans amidst the bevy of porn performers, probably proving once and for all that we’re potentially a bad influence. 6/27/09	Part of the interest in the adult entertainment world comes from the way that even though it can get a bit plodding, just like any job, every once in awhile things just come up in this world, and you have to make adjustments to your original plan. 6/23/09	How long has it been since we’ve had a leader that seems to have some actual grasp of real world knowledge? Now we’d be among the (potentially few) that would say that any successful politician must possess a level of intelligence, but we feel obligated to point out that a substantial chasm separates “smart” from “quick” on the mental scale. Those of you that were able to see President Obama’s press conference today got a chance to see one individual with both cerebral characteristics, and gosh but that’s fun. … Fortunately for all of you, we’ll leave the analysis to the plethora of newscasters that assume we all need the guidance and open instead our coverage of the just completed Erotica Los Angeles convention with our traditional “Two Days in Two Minutes” video presentation, along with a very few editorial ruminations. … All in all, even really, really smart people sometimes aren’t as interesting as a vast collection of scantily-clad women.
