9/30/05	We encourage reading the classics around here. And then we encourage reading almost anything else. Reading is good, and your head doesn’t hurt nearly as much the next morning if you spend the evening reading rather than developing a personal relationship with, say, Jack Daniels. OK. Maybe if you spend the evening reading the Republican National Platform it might, but nobody really reads that anyway, do they? In honor of this encouragement, today we’re taking a twist on the classics with “Of Vice, Not Men,” and while certainly not destined to be required fodder at some future university it has the distinct benefit of including Juli Ashton, Alexandra Silk, and Devinn Lane among its subject matter. 9/26/05	A funny thing happened on the way to the web post today. One of the site management tools that we use pointed out that this Night Calls, August, 2005 entry represents a total of 5,000 pages that we’ve laid out for the world to see. That seems significant … not like the stars in a mountain sky at night or anything, but still significant. But although we’ve been good at honesty over the years, we’ve probably never been good at understanding significance. It’s a shortcoming we’ve learned to live with, however. So we’re going to leave it up to someone else to add that particular aspect. For our part, we plan on watching the Broncos on Monday Night Football, all the while hoping that Kansas City sent all of their players to assist in the hurricane relief efforts instead of bringing them to Denver. 9/24/05	Now we can tell you about D.Minion’s visit to the set of Lost Angels – Wanda Curtis, and of course provide all of the usual fascinating insights delivered in laconic observation. OK. Maybe “laconic” might be more that we could hope for … so let’s go with “pithy” … and you guys can get on the Message Board and blame “bradcom” for the renewed fascination with words around here. One of the editors bought a bargain bin Word of the Day calendar and has felt it necessary to try to use the words for the 267 days that have already passed this year — in one week. (Bradcom owes the office a beer, by the way.) To D.Minion’s credit we should note, however, that she did provide 135 wonderful photograps of beautifully unclad women … oh, and some cows, an aging motorbike, and a couple of landscapes of a water truck. In my decade (plus) of Porn Star Management I always said that if you just do what you say you’re going to do, that generally being showing up on time, looking good, with the wardrobe you need, and knowing your lines, you’d immediately be in the top 2% of the working talent. But it’s still true, although “lines” aren’t as commonly used as they once were, what with corporations buying up all of the companies and the time taken to do “dialogue” being hard to justify on a silly balance sheet that somebody who’s never even seen an adult movie has responsibility for. 1/31/03	We’re debuting two new regular features for the site, starting with the addition of our new “Ninn Worx Weekend” which will feature photo galleries from the latest and greatest of Michael Ninn each and every weekend. Then we’ve improved our presentation skills (finally) with the slide show code Craig’s been on us about. He may be wrong about Rich not being very nice, but we have to admit that the show feature actually adds a bit of pizzaz that we’ve been lacking. Turns out some people like to look at pictures with their hands free. Wonder what for … Oh, most importantly we got to make a groovy new icon, and that’s why y’all are members anyway, right? 1/28/03	As the folks around here are gearing up for the return of Night Calls Live next week, we thought we’d give you D.Minion’s account of the final show of last season, Night Calls, December 18th, 2002. Then we realized we just got the stupid lights down a couple of weeks ago, and we decided not to embrace the holiday spirit this quickly again. 1/23/03	In an almost complete departure from anal pile driving, we have Playboy TV from a year and a half ago on tap today. It seems that back in October of 2001 Julia Ann granted The Bunny a favor and filled in for an absent Tera Patrick on Night Calls: 411. D.Minion dutifully accompanied her and wrote a fine account, even talking about anal, but not actually demonstrating it. Sometime thereafter we upgraded D.Minion’s hard drive at the office, and some of the files got dropped in the switch. When we put the old hard drive in a computer we’re building for Kristal, we found them. 1/22/03	To tell you the truth, even with a fairly large site, it’s rare for people to actually write in to the webmaster about anything, well, unless they’re complaining. Those of you that use the Message Boards or the Chatroom know that there are a lot more “views” than there are actual people posting or chatting. Maybe it’s just the nature of the genre; maybe people just like their anonymity. So when we posted the first photo galleries from Ninn Worx last week, we didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary. 8/26/02	Wow! It’s not unusual for us to receive some email when we do a post, and a great many of our members originally showed up because they (and we) love Juli Ashton and what she’s done for them (and our industry). But we got LOTS of email over the weekend. It’s a good thing most of the NFL games were Saturday, or we’d have never made it through all the email on Sunday. 8/23/02	You know, we spend so much time talking about Night Calls that we forget what an outstanding performer Juli was in the world of XXX. 8/22/02	We had a new member post to the Message Board (We call it “Forum” because that’s obviously more sophisticated.), and he lamented a dearth of recent Inari postings. We took his suggestion to heart, because we get very few actual suggestions, and we popped up a little behind the scenes story on Inari Solving Pier Pressure. We got “autiger’s” request at 8:00 in the morning. By 11:00 this same morning we had honored his request. 8/21/02	Dee’s been “chaised” by fronds in low places, and we have the pictures to prove it. If you’re more of the literary bent, Dee’s convinced her new beau to put down some of his thoughts on paper so that she might publish them in her diary. Having a “Porn Star Girlfriend” sounds pretty cool at first blush, so to speak, but if you really give it some thought, it may not be the peaches and cream it sounds like. We pride ourselves on honesty here at Adult Diary, and that’s what you’re getting today for sure. We have a guest editorial that introduces said lovely Ms. Silver, and you have 109 pictures of her to celebrate this massive expansion. 8/16/02	D.Minion’s providing quite the weekend treat as Kristal Summers, Sydnee Steele, and Nikita Denise take turn showing us what it takes to be Ms. Right. It turns out that this basically involves getting a lot of plastic surgery, and then spending a lot of time at the gym, and then you can go back and get revenge on all of the men who were mean to you earlier in your life, but we pretty much just skip over all of the moral lessons, and get right to the naked women. 8/14/02	The Night Calls team seems to be following through with their duties, although the shock took us a moment to absorb. We’ve got the Night Calls, April 3, 2002 right here just to prove it. This one has a bit of a twist, as it has the first mention of the Message-Board Famous “Night Calls Yearbook.” Now when was Mike bringing that thing for us to scan … ? 8/12/02	Boy were we embarrassed when we found out that we hadn’t put up Kristal’s New Journal Entries since April of this year. We felt sad and ashamed. We were weepy and quite nearly devastated. To make it worse, it wasn’t even Kristal that pointed it out to us, it was a conscientious member, Debbie from Cleveland, Ohio. We love Debbie, and we love Kristal, and we feel really bad.
