9/30/12	Oh, dear. 9/27/12	We can explain the American fascination with the NFL in a fairly simple way: For just a little bit of time in one’s complicated and frustrating life, it becomes perfectly acceptable to scream and yell like this world will end if the referee fails to call pass interference on some play in a game. It can be very cathartic, really, at least until the national press gets involved. A presumably relatively educated chap on Good Morning America today did refer to the circumstances surrounding a blown call last Monday as a night “that will live in infamy” during his report that we will now have the regular refs to scream at once again. … Um … That might be a bit extreme. Still, we manage to tie together Cytherea’s birthday and the Oakland Raiders this time out, which we consider a much more reasonable use of the football pastime. 9/25/12	All things considered it seems like our mothers should celebrate the anniversary of our births a lot more than the mere offspring should do. Right? She’s the one that did all the work, after all. If anything the individual kids should probably hide from that day as much as possible, because after that whole “come out of the womb” thing life sure got a lot tougher. Now in Maverick’s case although he claims to be particularly not celebrating this birthday, at least he has chosen to avoid thinking about it by employing a particularly American tactic: He is tormenting his friends with the beautiful women in his life. … OK. We all exist as an amalgamation of our life experiences, and as such we make observations necessarily influenced by that history. 9/16/12	The football fans take weekends off this time of year, as apparently colleges play all through Saturday, and some frighteningly powerful group called the NFL takes over life on Sundays. Even those of us not dedicated to the “pigskin” (or even its name, truth be told) do not find it odd that the NFL has begun to take over Thursdays too this year, to go along with the Monday nights it has always held sway over. No. We do find quite unusual, however, how many “football fans” we have in the office that never follow a team at all until it means they get weekends off. Very curious. 9/13/12	You know how you can just be going through your normal life, and all of the sudden you will find yourself thinking about someone you haven’t seen in quite awhile? 9/12/12	A mom and pop retail establishment we visited in Los Angeles this week had one of those hand-crafted signs taped to the wall above the cash register. It said, “Due to the declining California economy, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.” That said, since no one here ever made $40/hour to put on lug nuts in an assembly line, perhaps we see the future more optimistically than some people. 9/9/12	Most of the time we spend 90% of our time working on new material for the Members’ Side, and about 10% of our time organizing files and being sure the databases stay up to date so we can keep posting well into the future (when we would have probably forgotten all about the story behind the photos or videos if we did not complete this step). Obviously it does not take much of a math whiz to figure out that this equation leaves very little room for working on the “Free Side” of risqué. Every once in awhile, though, we will give the topic at least cursory consideration, most often with interesting — if not wholeheartedly amusing — results. 9/5/12	Conventions have a certain amount of similarity and overlap no matter where they happen to be held. … OK, so we attended a plumbing supplies convention once for some odd reason, and it was a bit different, and when we went to the Venus Show in Berlin they were playing hard core movies up on a giant screen when you went in, but those serve as exceptions that prove the rule. Between us we have been to hundreds of conventions, and those two stand out as unique in our minds. Now when Uncle Gibby goes to a convention with his video camera, though, you just never know what you may discover. Come to think of it, maybe there were a lot more unique moments at conventions, but we simply forgot. The mind is the first to go, you know. 6/27/12	It seems the U.S. Military pulled their “consultancy” support for Hollywood’s blockbuster film, The Avengers, because they had a problem with it being in their opinion “unrealistic.” Apparently the immortal guy with the magic hammer was no problem, nor did the fellow made out of rocks stretch credulity, but the “S.H.I.E.L.D.” group has no system in place for taking advantage of proper military channels or necessary respect for the chain of command. … Yeah, well, we’re not sure if Adam & Eve ever tried to enlist the assistance of actual Texas oil billionaires in the production of Dallas XXX, but D.Minion did not seem to focus on that aspect, at least during Day One of the production. 1/30/12	Years ago now, our dear friend SteveH decided to move back to his home town of Bumfuck, Missouri to chase some woman — although we cannot swear to this being the exact name of the town, honestly. Still, it did give us a chance to finally stop using “SteveD” to indicate the Other Steve in the office, as we progressed quickly through “Just Steve” to simply “Steve” when we refered to him. … And then the Original Steve decided to come out and visit us for the show this year, creating the Steve Confusion all over again. On the other hand, it did give all of us the chance to talk about “that woman” whom Original Steve eventually caught out in Missouri. Then we got to oft repeat one of our favorite adages: “Be careful what you wish for … .” What are friends for, after all? 1/26/11	We recently learned from The Big Bang that you call a person that studies flags a vexillologist. 1/16/12	Some people would argue that a “business” should not even exist that essentially bases its success on naked people. At first glance, the new approach seems quite a bit different from the older one, but then AVN has an entirely new plan this year as well, so we will see. 1/11/12	One of the best things about attending the annual AVN convention in Las Vegas has to be that you get a chance to see a lot of friends in the business that you may not have run across on set in a few months. 10/23/11	Apparently “blonds have more fun” as they go through life. 10/18/11	So a Haiku, a Fairy Tale, and a Limerick walk into a web site … No, really. … That’s what actually happens today. … We can’t really say “why” necessarily, because that would involve trying to understand D.Minion’s rationale, and we can assure you: Down that road disaster lies. … On a more — let’s go with typically sane — route, we do at least get to show off Shayla cavorting in our small town on California’s Central Coast. Better yet, Shayla has chosen to do so with a distinct lack of clothing for the most part, although she does seem to take advantage of batteries purchased locally. We’ve even thrown in some of those fancy “movin’ pictures” displaying a similar sort of cavorting, even though the scene has nothing technically to do with the poems. Internally we’ve entitled this bit of fun “The Lingerie Toss and Other Tales” but you may be more interested in the “Pure Gold Pussy” once all is said and done. 10/16/11	All things considered, we have a pretty good life around here. Granted the abundance of beautiful naked women around does tend to slant the playing field in our favor, but we have deeply spiritual — metaphysically philosophical, even — reasons to be grateful for our lot in life. Well, at least we plan on having those, just as soon as the beautiful naked women stop working as sole justification. Hey, without a plan, how can you tell when you’ve fallen horribly short? … And the plan for today? Georgia Adair and Dee, beautiful and naked as you likely expected. Honestly, adding enough deeply spiritual and metaphysical philosophy, it adds a whole new interpretation to the concept of the NFL “bye” week. 10/10/11	Columbus Day seemed like the perfect opportunity to talk about the potential benefits of exploration, particularly as they may pertain to Cytherea. Truth be told, we cannot be 100% sure what exactly we will “discover” on our trek, but we remain optimistic. According to Mr. Orwell, should we strive to be admirable writers, we need “let the meaning choose the word, and not the other way about.” As to the effectiveness of our efforts today, we shall let the members decide. … And just a bit of advice for members and non-members alike: Remember what we have learned from Mr. Columbus. 10/7/11	For a long time now, we’ve been planning to celebrate the release of the next Michael Ninn movie we can talk about and show off with the last Michael Ninn movies (we could talk about and show off) — these happening right before new Ninn Worx management felt “uncomfortable” with our presence. Consequently, on the precipice of some very select customers in the U.S. being able to obtain a copy of Michael’s The Four, we bring you for the first time D.Minion’s observations of the first day of House of Jordan. We’ve entitled this episode “Who Let the Dogs Out?” — which will make a lot more sense once you read it. … OK. So that may not be entirely true. … It will make as much sense as we usually make. 10/2/11	Sigh. The plan was to put this up on Sunday night … and then … depression set in. On the stripes of the gridiron the only thing that makes the Colorado professional football team better than Colorado’s biggest college football team is that the college team has played one more game, thus recording one more loss. Many might assume that being from a state even colder than Colorado, say, Wisconsin, would be a fine reason for depression of an entirely more aggregate view. But you if you happen to be a football fan, Wisconsin’s not a bad place to be. … Still, we’re trying to cope the way we do. Too bad Uncle Gibby’s not allowed to look at the video here.
