Back when the Old Stuff was New Stuff

12/31/03	We had a plan. The skeleton crew that remained here over the holidays decided to post D.Minion’s “On The Scene” report from Anais’ first movie Fem: Diva in honor of the new year, what with Anais being new in 2003 and all. Thus they faithfully plodded through the processing of the 200+ pictures that D.Minion saw fit to capture. Then the editorial staff sat down (it sounds like it’s way more than one person if you say it that way) and took a look at the article. It is, in its current state, 14 pages long, utilizing 4,995 words. “Word Count” can be a daunting tool. Consequently, we came up with another plan. Today we have a nice little story about a day last summer when D.Minion was on the set for Spice TV with Julia Ann. It has a nice little collection of 10 paragraphs, most of them short, and a nice group of 37 mostly naked pictures of Julia. We liked this a lot. We will do our Fem: Diva piece in honor of the Adult Entertainment Expo that begins next week in Las Vegas, thus giving you a week to get through “The Epic That Began Anais.” You will think this is nice. The fact that D.Minion returns from vacation tonight, and will therefore be around to help with the bulk of the work that we face, has almost nothing to do with the reason that we decided to wait. 12/28/03	Sean Michaels was kind enough to lend us his little tease for Rock that Ass, 23, and since the show features Dee, we figured today would be a good day to show off a dirty couple dozen. Now there will certainly be better (and more complete) coverage as time goes on, but if you think of this as primarily a therapeutic value, it will certainly serve as a more pleasant diversion than some will find today. 12/26/03	Ninn Worx Weekends reappear, thankfully delivering us from the season of really bad puns. 12/25/03	If you ask my mother, she’ll tell you that the problem with the modern-day Christmas holiday stems from the “evil root of money.” According to her, people have forgotten the True Meaning of Christmas, and as a fine upstanding Baptist (ok, as fineand upstanding as one can be while still being a Baptist), she’ll be quick to point out that this festive season should NOT rely on gift-giving, but rather should invoke emotional, introspective, and faithfully tithing genuflection. Well, I can confidently say here that mom would be proud of this post. I can confidently say this because I’m absolutely certain mom is not a member of this site, and thus will never be able to see what’s inside. Mom always says I lack a certain reverence for tradition; my mom has always been very wise. 12/24/03	The Holiday Season is upon us, and we thought of the perfect gift for all of you. Rather than give away the secret, we’ll just tell you that we’ve decided to call it the Vachs Box. At a time of year when too many institutitions equate “value” with “cost,” we’re encouraging the simple path around here. Starting from the intrinsic premise that “It’s the thought that counts,” we’ve decided that Inari must be extremely valuable, as she stirs many thoughts … to say the least. 12/19/03	We have our relatively common use of nostalgia today, but we also have a bit of poetry, complete with literary criticism, and even a touch of a requiem. Basically it may be just a little deep for casual perusal this time around, so maybe it’s best to simply look at the pictures of Kristal Summers acting out Love Letters. Many of you probably know that a member named Maverick (and that sounds like a country song) has quite a fascination with Ms. Summers. 12/17/03	It’s Night Calls Night again, and D.Minion got in her latest coverage just under the wire. She’s been spending so much time on set of late that she’s been falling further behind in her scribely duties. We have put her mind at ease, however, when she expresses her fears that we’ll reassign her various jobs to the couple of new interns we have working here for a bit and then fire her. As you peruse Night Calls, December 3, 2003 you too can rest assured that D.Minion will be around for a long time. We have clearly explained to her that she can’t be fired, as slaves have to be sold … Do we have an opening bid, by the way? 12/16/03	In a recent FDA study, United States government doctors researching test drugs administered weekly doses of VIAGRA to an equal number of doctors and lawyers. While the majority of the doctors achieved enhanced sexual prowess, the lawyers simply grew taller. The US government researchers are at a loss to explain. That pretty much typifies today’s miscellaneous approach. Sometimes you just run across stuff you don’t know what to do with, and so you just throw it all together and see what comes out. 12/13/03	Time zones have an odd way of creating an introspective effect, it seems to me. And meeting new people interested in your job can create a retrospective one. 8/30/03	You know, occasionally our old buddy Bert comes up with some great ideas. His poetic review of Ninn Worx’ Fem: Diva inspired this week’s “Weekend” — displacing D.Minion’s “favorite” Olivia Del Rio, in fact. We’re pretty sure Bert can make this up to DM with copious beers at the Members’ Party in a couple of weeks, and we’re also pretty sure the rest of the members will thank Bert. Look at it this way: You’ll get to see Olivia eventually, and Anais is truly a feast for the eyes (and possibly some other stuff). 8/23/03	We have sort of a Ninn Worx Weekend today, as we met our topic of conversation on a Ninn Worx set, but these are not technically Ninn Worx pictures. Still, we’re not above using the thinest of excuses to show off a new pretty naked girl (who became Cytherea), and we’ve got an exceptional one today. 8/22/03	Most of you probably know that Juli Ashton doesn’t really fit the typical “Porno Girl” mold; Juli’s actually very bright (as are several other performers as a matter of fact), and so when she called in the other day with a quote that she’d read and wanted to share with us, we listened. If you’ve been a member for very long, you know that we tend to be fairly optimistic around here, and pretty much live with the philosophy of “playing the cards you’re dealt.” Juli’s quote, however, says that ever-so-much more eloquently: “Of all the things that might have happened, only one of them actually did.” Cool, huh? 8/19/03	Honesty would actually prevent us from claiming that ALL of the Risqué clients over the years have turned out to be far along on the “human sanity” scale, but, hey, retrospect is for whiners anyway. So on a day when we received a phone call to tell us of the supposed lengthy incarceration ahead for one former client, we happen upon a little story from May of 2001 that focuses on a different one. However, while we’ll confess to not always picking the most rational, or even ethical, of clients EVERY time, we can say one thing with complete candor: Some may turn out to be wacky, but darned if they aren’t all beautiful. We’re glad we ran across this, and we hope you enjoy it too. It’s a wonder we can find anything at all around here sometimes. Then again, I lose my shoes at least once a day. 6/30/03	We’re taking a moment to publicly apologize to SteveD today. We’re sorry we ever had the unkind attitude that called your picture taking skills into question. We’re very sorry, in fact, and we’ll never do it again. Today we have the “Mini-Minion” report on Erotica LA, and Mav managed to include 135 photographs to illustrate it. Some were in focus. Some even had people in them. However, ALL of them were horizontal. We’ve never seen anything like it. It’s amazing. So, SteveD, we’re sorry. We’ll never cast aspersions on your photograhic integrity again … probably … we think … possibly. (Hey, it could happen.) In one of our more convoluted posts we give you a sobering moment from the next in Dear Readers Speak with Brother John — and a drooling moment with Kristal posing naked for a visiting member (probably NOT the kind you’re thinking of). We haven’t learned much from this besides if you have to be sober and drooling, it’s good to have Kristal to blame for it. 6/21/03	You didn’t think we were just going to leave you for an entire weekend with just a singing dog for company, did you? Does that sound like the kind of thing we would do? OK, it does, but this time we didn’t. If true genius lies in the interpretation of communal media, we have yet more evidence of Mr. Ninn’s true genius. He can look at the same thing we all do, but he just sees it in a different way. Case in point, his promotional debut of Anais. When you take a look at it, you’ll see what we mean, and you’ll likely wonder at Michael’s vision. 6/20/03	We interrupt the regularly scheduled Ninn Worx Weekend to tell you that the truly unthinkable has in fact occurred. It was raining in Los Angeles in late June. Guess who’s still in town … Point in fact, and in penance probably, our buddy Maverick’s gone and given us all another gift, though. The inspiration went as follows: We returned home from a convivial mid-day meal with the incomparable Michael Ninn. Fascinating conversation flowed as Michael and Maverick dazzled each other with the depths of their personal philosophies. They talked of Kafka and Camus, of Aristotle and Aerosmith. (It was truly strange.) Then we pulled into the driveway and noticed we had a guest at our home. When we told Mav that this was Kristal Summers’ new car, he caught his breath, blushed, and promptly walked into the vehicle we had just parked. Ah, love … Then he made this for y’all. 6/18/03	News Flash!! D.Minion has noticed that Night Calls can be a little surreal. We don’t know what first clued her in, but as the thumbnail below shows, we’re thinking she might be onto something. Night Calls, June 4, 2003 certainly fit that bill. We’re thinking we could even surpass Kafka and move right on to Faulkner with this episode. 6/17/03	Maverick’s been a busy little beaver, well, hampster, during his visit here, and he’s now created some really groovy new screen savers for everyone. We have noticed a trend. The new plan around the office is to just threaten manual labor as a diversion, and the bright young chap will come up with all sorts of things to keep him busy and make the site better. The leaders of the Revolutionary War should have known about this trick. 6/16/03	The beauty of the editorial section of the newspaper is that you don’t have to read it, and besides you probably don’t agree with any of the people in that section anyway. We have a rare editorial for you today entitled “Somebody’s Daughter” and we suggest you take the same tack here. You do have the benefit here of being able to see Kristal Summers in her first hard core boy/girl action, helped along with Inari Vachs. You also have the benefit of seeing how Anais managed to struggle through a couple of modeling sessions on her first days on a XXX shoot. 6/13/03	Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, but when they lit a fire in the craft, it sank. This of course proves conclusively that you can’t have your kayak and heat it, too. It’s Friday the 13th, and so we thought we’d open with a really scary pun. You know, that’s just the way we are. In a manner of seeking forgiveness, however, we have yet another Ninn Worx Weekend, with yet another exotic new starlette. 6/11/03	Wow. The final entry of the Risqué Mini-Series: Becoming Georgia Adair is a mere pittance. You’ll probably hardly even notice the 125 pictures and three video clips. You’re probably so used to this story that you don’t even want to see Georgia’s scene with Eric Masterson; you don’t even want to bother looking at more pictures of Dee, naked and frolicking. Wait! That’s the office staff … Members will probably think this just a dandy way to spend some time. So enjoy, and blame Maverick for the bad puns; we’ll take credit for the good ones. 6/10/03	Well, Maverick’s in town, and as you guessed we haven’t seen the sun in Los Angeles for two days. To make matters worse, he had the audacity to complain (during his last visit) about the truly wonderful and fun slide show that Craig put together for us. That particular fascinating escapade we finished coding before the sun even set on Day One. Maverick, our good friend, brought us an entire new section of downloadable wallpapers, featuring all of our favorite women. We technically made it a “today” post, but this is another of those that only count in you live on the West Coast or in Hawaii. All of you can enjoy these new toys. 6/9/03	Because we’re quite certain that all of our Members are fans of Victorian Literature, we’ve begun a new section for the site called “Dear Readers Speak.” (Actually, we had to call it something, and that seemed quick.) It’s basically just going to be a place where we can post interesting stories about, well, whatever. Every once in awhile we get some fascinating emails in, and now we have a place (given permission) to post them. We open with a little personal history regarding a woman from porn’s past named K.C. 5/31/03	Ladies and Gentlemen, and Maverick, we have a happy day today! When you see the size of it, you’ll understand the delay in getting you all the next Risqué Revelation that has become the Becoming Georgia Adair Mini-Series. We’re finally into Day One, which means we’re firmly into hard core here. Those of you that have been waiting to see Georgia in hard core action will wait no longer. It will take some perseverance however. There are nine picture pages, containing over 200 still images. There are two silly videos, and a trailer small enough for slow connections to see it (courtesy of Georgia herself). The story itself covers three lengthy pages alone. 5/26/03	Being as how it’s Memorial Weekend, we’ve been reminiscing for a few days. On this, the technical “Memorial Day,” it seemed a fitting conclusion to reflect once more on our own little place in the world. It was only a little more than a year ago that D.Minion documented a day where Devinn Lane filled in for an absent Danni Ashe and interviewed Aimee Sweet for “In Bed With Danni.” Ah, what a difference a year makes. Still, although things don’t always work out like we plan, it has been our experience in life that they do in fact tend to work out for the best. Maybe that’s what makes this such a fun job. 5/18/03	You know sometimes it’s just the simplest things that make you bonkers. (That would be the medical definition, by the way.) It seems that in our efforts to upgrade the Operating System software for part of our server system, we got a little tired and accidentally layed an errant finger down on the keyboard. It turns out that one little pesky comma can completely shut down the posting system for a week. Bleh. So you’re probably seeing a bunch of new posts for the first time tonight. Sorry, but at least we found the problem. (Stupid comma.) As a Sunday Night Bonus, though, members can now see the trailer for Becoming Georgia Adair — at least two weeks before anyone else out there can. You’re going to be the envy of all your friends. However, we’ve made up for this slight tardiness by including not only the next D.Minion peek into Georgia’s shoot, but we also put together a couple of quick sets of some other women you might remember. TJ Hart was by the office and gave us some “on the set” shots of her, including a couple with our own Inari Vachs, and Wendy Divine dropped off some rather candid shots of a party she and Eric Masterson had before they switched apartments.
