12/31/12	Who knew that by watching a highly anticipated (well, by some) football game you could be inundated with advertisements for a new television show on AMC featuring “Competitive Taxidermy” of all things? Who knew that taxidermy could be competitive? … Who knew they even still did taxidermy? 12/29/12	You may not have noticed, but if you put all the College Bowl Games together, you could have a heck of a party. You could wear Russel Athletics or New Era Pinstripes, if you knew what those were, maybe. You’d have Tostitos, Buffalo Wings, Idaho Potatoes, Chick-fil-A, Little Caesars Pizza, and even Beef ‘O’ Brady and Outback to eat. You could decorate the place with roses, sip orange juice while you get some sugar from your sweetie, and even stuff cotton in your ears if she started complaining that you were not fighting her hunger with Kraft sufficiently. You’d have wonderful things to talk about like insurance, or car care, wireless services, or taxes, mortgages, or Korean cars. You could even discuss what the heck scantily-clad women and beautiful race car drivers have to do with web domain registration. Best of all, you’d have a Bell Helicopter to escape if some folks started remembering the Alamo a bit too enthusiastically. … Fortunately, none of that had anything to do with even more Shayla today. 12/27/12	Shayla has a special day today well worthy of celebrating. Also in our occasionally not completely behind efforts to bring the really old pages up to modern standards, we will run across some original photos now and again. We weren’t horribly disorganized back in those days, but if someone had told us the sites would last this long, we would have done things differently. … It’s sort of like that old saying, “You know, if I’d have known I was going to live this long, I’d have taken better care of myself.” … Except we still get Shayla naked. 12/24/12	Too often in life we lose old friends, whether that be to any of the Big Three options — Sex, Love, Money — or not. Of course “losing” implies a lot of stuff way too deep for discussion here, and sometimes you just want to dance around in a circle like some Charles M. Schultz character not yet burdened by anything really icky — like three dimensions. Say, for example, if you “lose old friends” but then they come back, were they really lost — or simply slapping you upside the face with preternatural insight? … Yeah. 12/31/11	As near as we can tell, today happens to be New Year’s eve, and most places around the world happen to celebrate the new year with substantially more vigor and glee than they do any of those gift-giving holidays. Of course the vast majority of the world has at least a culture, but often an entire political system, that stems in no small degree from religious persecution, so maybe that makes sense. After all, it seems very wise to focus more on a day of the year you won’t get shot for celebrating, right? For our part, we have decided to stick to our roots as well. What they lack in historic violence and upheaval, they more than make up for in fun and nudity. This doesn’t set the bar very high, we understand, but as a rule we tend to prefer simple goals. (You members may have noticed.) And if D.Minion happens to discover our camouflaged secret, well, we plan on employing the exact same New Year’s Resolution we enjoy every year: Blame Maverick for everything. When we decided to put that Countdown for Gibby on top of New Stuff, we didn’t really anticipate that this would result in common wails of AAAARGH! in the office – every time somebody here opens up the site to check something. Presuming we haven’t been overrun by a collection of pirates, one might assume that the old “Ignorance is Bliss” theory definitely seems to hold water in this establishment. 12/31/09	Did you know that the term “Blue Moon” technically refers to the second full moon in a given calendar month? Now that pretty much sums up the educational value from a purely scientific perspective, but Maverick chose this last day of 2009 to celebrate his continuing love of breasts (which happens a lot more often than once in a blue moon, as you might know). 12/24/09	Elected officials in Washington claim to be giving us all a “gift” this holiday season, and if that’s not enough to terrify any sane U.S. Citizen, then we don’t know what might be. 12/23/09	We could make polite conversation about the weather, because it seems that the entire country finds itself suffering from a cold spell. 12/20/09	How many adult entertainment sites can you think of that occasionally make copious use of footnotes in their articles? 12/16/09	So we’re on set with Ron Jeremy on Monday and he lets everyone know that from now on we should not be calling Tiger Woods a Tiger, since he’s clearly a Cheetah. (For what it’s worth, Ron specifically denied responsibility for the joke, maybe because that’s fair, or maybe because Ron specializes in making audiences groan yet another way these days.) … At any rate, you’ll probably be happy to know that we decided to focus on Chasey Lain today, rather than Mr. Jeremy, although we did manage to tuck in a brief discussion of humor as an art form, and even a little more Tiger, er Cheetah, Woods. Whatever.

We’re also unveiling yet another update to the navigational system in the Members’ Area, just so you know. 12/7/09	Virtually a decade to the day since delineating our desires, we deploy the First Official Members’ Search Engine across the Risqué Commune. … We decided that December 7th might be the ironically perfect day to launch such a venture, in celebration of Chasey Lain’s birthday, an early risqué client, of course, and certainly not because of that other December 7th reason. Honestly we’re hoping that bit of historic misery does not portend anything at all in our circumstance. We’re a tad intrepid about this whole thing, as it turns out, as the effort could have the impact of foisting our foibles to the forefront. Suddenly it has become amazingly easy to uncover heretofore obscure links to very old stories, and it remains to be seen whether or not that constitutes a good thing. 12/5/09	Presumably one can become desensitized to anything. If you can believe detective novels, law enforcement officers begin to simply accept how bad human beings can be toward each other. An Emergency Medical Technician must develop some ability to accept the gore they might see as a regular part of life, and just get on with their jobs. Even lawyers eventually learn to accept one another. It seems to happen, after all. Similarly, in the sex business, our threshold for outrageous behavior must by definition expand as we go along. D.Minion focuses on this concept in her on-the-set report today, or maybe we’re just reading too much into it. Shock can do that to a person. 12/2/09	As it turns out, we can really antagonize some people without even meaning to. Apparently the admittedly subjective opinion of our leader here on the topic of porn star management has reminded some industry people that they do in fact know how to read. Well, good for them, we say. Reading is important. And while we’re compiling the list of things we might wish to pursue in this suddenly intriguing vein, we did ask the aforementioned leader if he wished to apologize to those affronted by the comments in the last post. “Sure,” he said, “tell them I’m sorry they got so offended.” (We really can’t make these things up.)
