5/28/05	It’s Memorial Day Weekend, as most of the US folks know, and we’re celebrating. True, most Americans likely can’t even remember what we’re supposed to be memorializing (as anyone that’s ever seen “Jaywalking” on The Tonight Show can attest), but a very few people might recall that some people have spent millions of dollars, and some rather more important people have died, giving us the chance to carve our little free niche in the world. So grill some beef. Eat some hotdogs. Play frisbee with your dog. … And try not to be too upset with the fact that banks are closed on Monday. At least most of you don’t have to go to work, after all. Oh, and if you’ve got the time, you might check out D.Minion’s Risqué Retrospective. Nobody died, and not even any animals were harmed, in this little synopsis of time. But, gee, ain’t it funny how time slips away? 5/27/05	The Porn Industry hasn’t quite figured out the deceptively important concept of picking a title with care. We tend to name things with what they ARE, rather than what they’re ABOUT. Of course many would say that’s simply because the adult “movies” are exactly what they are about, but those people are still wearing trenchcoats and looking for cheap thrills from a hole in the wall if you ask me. Fortunately, no one asks me much, and so I can spend my time enjoying Dee Directing once again. Also, I don’t blame her for the title. You can now enjoy her too. 5/25/05	Over the years we’ve come to understand that it’s always preferable to wake up with a beautiful woman. Sometimes it’s even nice to wake up with three beautiful women, and if those women happen to be Juli Ashton, Julia Ann, and Becca … well, you’re obviously still asleep because you’re dreaming. 5/20/05	So you meet a new person, and you’re still in the getting to know each other stage, right? Well somebody new on the Risqué periphery was describing a friend of hers. “She’s a real Right-Winger,” says the strange new person (who gets stranger by the minute sometimes), “but she’s a closet liberal, because she has gay friends, and even a Jewish one.” Good Grief: One step forward. Two steps back. Eeek! … Aside from the patently offensive implications here, we also saw a dandy opportunity to introduce Night Calls from March of 2005, since we love irony in all of its many forms. You see, this particular Night Calls episode, besides featuring the usual Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath raucousness, had a group of beautiful female boxers as their guests, and if I ever knew two women that needed a punch in the mouth … well, you just heard from them on the periphery. 5/16/05	“Sometimes it’s sweetness and light here in Porn Valley, but sometimes things don’t work out exactly as planned. 5/13/05	I got fired from my job last week, and I was pretty upset about it. 6/30/05	You know what? We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. For awhile we just thought these uncomfortable feelings were just from the long hours at Ninn Worx, or trying to get a deep understanding of really sexy subjects like “video compression techniques” or something. We even gave the “must have had some bad seafood” theory a brief visit, but then we realized that unless it comes wrapped in paper, we haven’t eaten it lately. Then we saw Dee at LA Erotica and we realized the obvious truth of the matter: We haven’t been talking about Dee enough. You know, you can spend time with your head buried in codec geekdom, on machines that cost many thousands of dollars, and you still miss the simple stuff. 6/27/05	Conventions and Events pretty much describe the modern working world in America. No matter what you do for a living, there’s almost certainly a convention somewhere (every year) that brings all of you like-minded people together … probably to talk amongst yourselves about how hideous it is to try to do what you do for a living. … well … We have those also. And we also have those Events that really, really want to be in this “essential” catagory, so that they might make a bunch of money off of all of us too. Consider LA Erotica. Now the people that attend this paticular convention are much more interesting than the folks that pay money to display their wares, as it were, but it’s still a rather fun place to hang out for a bit. This year it cost $30 per person, per day, and that probably makes some accountant happy somewhere. We just went for the pretty girls. Sometimes simple is best. Not only does it bring us up to date on Juli’s wonderful television program, but it also serves on the eve of a special day for a very special friend. Some of you may know that a couple of Memorial Days back Playboy TV once played nothing but Juli Ashton and Essentially Juli for 24 hours straight. We’re pretty sure Bert can make this up to DM with copious beers at the Members’ Party in a couple of weeks, and we’re also pretty sure the rest of the members will thank Bert. Look at it this way: You’ll get to see Olivia eventually, and Anais is truly a feast for the eyes (and possibly some other stuff). 8/19/03	Honesty would actually prevent us from claiming that ALL of the Risqué clients over the years have turned out to be far along on the “human sanity” scale, but, hey, retrospect is for whiners anyway. So on a day when we received a phone call to tell us of the supposed lengthy incarceration ahead for one former client, we happen upon a little story from May of 2001 that focuses on a different one. However, while we’ll confess to not always picking the most rational, or even ethical, of clients EVERY time, we can say one thing with complete candor: Some may turn out to be wacky, but darned if they aren’t all beautiful. We’re glad we ran across this, and we hope you enjoy it too. It’s a wonder we can find anything at all around here sometimes. Then again, I lose my shoes at least once a day. 2/15/03	It occurs to us that in addition to our “physical” orientation around here, we’re also following at least one of the properties that we learned in physics class oh so many years ago. 2/13//03	Well, it’s taken some time, but we’ve finally figured out D.Minion’s plan when she writes her annual report on the January Las Vegas Convention. She would like it to take you members approximately as long to read about the conventions, and look at the pictures, as it took us to actually attend the events. Even with imported help from the U.K. it took nearly as long to put all of this in order, giving those people that D.Minion doesn’t believe exist, the ones that just look at the pictures, a reasonable chance to find everything. Just as a summation: You have 14 pages, 219 pictures, and our two best video clips ever to see, well, if you really, really liked the hampster bits. 2/10/03	We’ve hit upon a new philosophy here at the office: If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, heap ’em with hardcore. So that’s what we’re doing to distract you from the fact that we still haven’t gotten through the volumes of information D.Minion turned in regarding the AEE. (We took classes in law school that required less reading, dang.) Until we do, you can watch Stormy Masturbation and a young porn star “Gauge” a couple of potential suitors. 2/7/03	Well, now Carol has a new section to give her some navigation advice, Lon has a new board so he can let us know where we screwed up, and we all have a second “Ninn Worx Weekend” to pay attention to. 2/6/03	We’re gearing up for another round of Naughty Amateur Home Videos with our favorite hosts of the series, Julia Ann and Inari Vachs. Back in the old days, however, Julia used to host the show with Taylor Hayes, and that’s who was there on this day when D.Minion visited the set. Well, technically Taylor was only there one of the two days for the shoot. History would show that Taylor eventually became too “naughty” for the show altogether, and Inari stepped in. 2/3/03	Proving again that sometimes it’s enough just to be beautiful, we give you the Risqué version of a Christmas Photo. The story pretty much explains itself, but we should note that the executive that received this gift was indeed touched. He was also in a bit of a bind. He couldn’t hang the picture in his office for fear of seeming to have “favorites,” and he couldn’t hang it at home because, well, wives are funny about that sort of thing. Last seen, the picture was beside his desk on the floor, beautiful frame and all.
