1/29/06	Call it a hunch, but we’re thinking we’ve got the first of a few of the “Seen on the AEE 2006 Scene” reports here. We’re trying to start everyone off easy by not subjecting you to the feared mass of a typical D.Minion elucidation on the annual event in Las Vegas, so we figured we’d start with lil’ ol’ SteveD – a man of few words and many pictures – a man, in other words, close to the hearts of many members. So if you’re looking for Kristal Summers, Juli Ashton, Christy Canyon, Julia Ann, or anyone else that might hang out at a porn convention, well, so was Steve. 1/28/06	All in all, waking up every morning to the sounds and smells of the Pacific Ocean beats the heck out of waking up to the sounds and smells of millions of automobiles. Still, if you have to hang out in Los Angeles it doesn’t hurt to hang out with Miko Tan and Eva Angelina, particularly when you can make fun of the folks from the city. Out here, let’s just say we had a Fabulous time. Inside, of course, you’ll see (and read if you’re so inclined) much more … um … detail. It’s all about “d” tail around here, y’all. Speaking of tales, just when you think you’ve heard everything in this business, you realize you’re wrong. Now I’ve been in the XXX industry for 15 years now, and even I get suprised. While on this Ninn Shoot, one of the male performers looked over to the monitors and said, “She’s too tight.” Understandably confused, the young Director looked at me and asked what to do. Naturally I gave the most obvious answer that came to mind. “Give me her phone number,” I suggested. One need always maintain perspective I’ve learned. 1/23/06	It occurs to us that some people may need something to take their mind off of fumbles, interceptions, general embarrassment and overall ickiness. In our vast experience with these feelings of sadness, we’ve found that Anais can be a dandy diversion. If, for example, you have some stunning exclusive pictures of Anais practicing her modeling on a country set, and then you have visual evidence of Anais being somewhat skilled at self-satisfaction, you might be able to avoid burning everything orange and blue in your wardrobe. 1/22/06	Have you ever felt like important things just take an eternity to come to fruition? Well as it turns out a lot of things come (at least as a sort of fruition) in Wicked’s Eternity, and because we know people that know people we can tell you some things about it. For example Julia Ann’s horse didn’t really die in this movie, nor did our buddy Eric Masterson. See how important it is to keep up to date around here? 1/20/06	Sometimes the simplest things in life can make all of the difference, can’t they? Take for example a week where you get stuck doing all sorts of really un-sexy things like upgrading servers and checking php code for a new catalogue system that no one else is even going to know is there if it works right. And then say you still have like 70,000 images from the Vegas convention to go through (well, there probably aren’t that many, but there are a lot) and some of them are quite frankly just a little oogey. When you’re having a week like that, it turns out Monique Alexander can just brighten your whole day. Come to think of it, she’s always pretty much had that effect on the office. 1/15/05	Well, we’re still going through a bazillion pictures and mpegs from the recent AEE show, and we finally took a break to let everyone know we’re still alive, despite having had to listen to all of the sportcasters across the country explaining how wonderful the Indianapolis Colts are, and how sadly overrated the Denver Broncos are. Odd, that. More to the point, however, we took some time to put together a quick set of Kristal Summers hanging around the hotel room, when she wasn’t hanging around the convention. 1/9/06	Apparently while we were gone the “New Year’s” post (below) kept appearing and disappearing. Not being sure what exactly happened, we decided to blame it on Gremlins, since we don’t want to waste all of our “Blame it on D.Minion” chits this early in the year. That said, we’re trying something different, which for us generally means we’re going to end up in a place completely different from the one we imagined we’d end up when we set out, but at least we’re used to that. 1/2/06	Consider these our New Year’s Nudity Resolutions. Now these are a lot like regular New Year’s Resolutions, but they’re a lot more fun to keep. If you factor in Juli Ashton, Nikita, Vicca, and some (close, it seems) friends of theirs, you get one dandy equation that will hopefully keep y’all busy for the week we’ll be away in Las Vegas mingling, mixing, doing interviews and taking pictures … basically doing all the fun stuff Maverick doesn’t get to this year. If you have to struggle through these tedious work exercises, at least you should be able to taunt your friends about it. Hmm. That’s another fine New Year’s Resolution, come to think of it. 3/31/05	Kristal creates some Hard Evidence today, as it were, as we have an unusual story with a lot more words than pictures. 3/28/05	A lot of times on a porn site you wouldn’t follow “We found our motel” with the concluding part of the sentence today, “and headed off to the Helium monument.” Right? Well “A long time ago …” (Someone should really write a book with that beginning.) D.Minion met Dee in Amarillo, Texas, and then they travelled across the Great American Desert to get to Los Angeles. At least the “Bonus” section has some interesting interaction, but, basically, this post can be summed up if we tell you what this thumbnail says. “You can’t run with the big dogs if you pee like a puppy.” We have a very odd office. 3/26/05	For some reason people get really afraid of daring punctuation. Maybe primary school English teachers sign some secret oath that mandates that they frighten all young students against anything that isn’t a period or a question mark. Teachers that teach the advancing students can then introduce the comma to the budding minds, but after that the door slams shut …. See? Whatever happened to the good ol’ ellipse? What’s wrong with ALL CAPS to stress a point? And God forbid, on this Easter weekend, that a parenthetical comment ever rear its confusing head. (If you don’t know what that means, you should just skip to the 180 pictures from Ninn Worx’ Pussy Kat now, by the way.) Well, today we flunk English 101. 3/24/05	As it turns out we’ve fallen behind on the Night Calls stories and D.Minion goes a little Kindergarten Teacher on us when that happens. Remember the crossed arms and the tapping foot pose? Well, even though we’ve lived on this planet for more than four DECADES, that particular stance still stikes fear into our very soul. Being the regular manly men that we are, though, we immediately rolled over so D.Minion could scratch our cowardly bellies. And then we posted the next Night Calls story as though nothing ever went astray. 3/8/05	You know, one of the hard things about writing is that very often things need to rhyme to flow smoothly off of the tongue, or brain, or whatever. So I’m trying to recount my adventures when I should have been at home watching the dogs and D.Minion’s parents, but instead I find myself (and my bummed-up leg) on a porn set observing the creation of a movie called Purple Skye … Yes. Truth is stranger than fiction. So, anyway, I have now found myself trying to think of a rhyme for “purple” … um … which ranks right up there with “orange” … Then I remarkably decide to just “show dem da money” — at which point all rhymes become superfluous. I really edit much better than I write, but at least we won’t have that “Clown Porn” picture haunting us at the top of the page anymore. One should give thanks for small favors. So, bowing to the requests of too many emails, today you get D.Minion’s take on the Convention. It seems she’s getting jaded too. 1/31/05	We don’t know quite how to describe Mav’s MEGA Report on Internext, the AEE, and the AVN Awards show except to say it’s BIG. It’s really, really BIG. There are well over 300 pictures and 7,000 words. Heck, we had to build the mother of all index pages, just to try to help people figure out where they are in the story when they come back to it. Let’s put it this way, from within the story and picture pages there are FORTY THREE individual links back to the index page. You’re going to need a lot of beer for this one, folks. Lots of pretty girls, though, and Lon becomes a Hip Hop artist. 1/13/05	“Seventy-Six trombones led the big parade,” as I understand it. So that means that today’s post is better than a big parade, as it has 77 more pictures of the 2004 KSEX Awards show, this time taken by Foreign Correspondent Maverick. Now we need to explain three things. 1. We’re making no attempt to draw any correlation between trombones and photographs of partying porn stars, rather leaving to future generations of literary students an attempt to try to decipher what deep and tortured reasonings led us to this strange juxtaposition. 2. A simple fact of corporate America rejoices in giving someone a grand-sounding title like “Foreign Correspondent” rather than actual money, and 3. By the way, really, really smart people wouldn’t have chosen the end of the year … over the holidays … right before the largest annual industry convention in Las Vegas … at the same time as moving a home and office … as the perfect time to change hosting and billing companies for the two biggest sites we operate. Nope. That’s certainly not what a really, really smart person would have done. That’s just what we did. 5/31/04	Don’t you hate it when you do stupid stuff? Somehow in all the chaos of the last couple of weeks (Michael and team are in Budapest shooting now. Getting them out of town was a challenge, not that you care.) we forgot to post the Cinco de Mayo Night Calls episode. (About this you certainly care.) Well we’re making up for it today, and we’ll just have to apologize for delaying the reveal of Juli’s personal twist on chorizo con huevos, with Julian playing an important role. 5/27/04	We were pulling up to a convenience store today when we noticed a stunning, 20-something, brunette getting out of a sporty little car. The sun happened to be behind her, and it was obvious that she didn’t have a thing on under her very thin (and short) cotton dress. It was also obvious she knew how to walk to attract attention. Standing behind her in line, we observed that her key ring said, “Ye Old Tattoo Shop” on it, but she had no tattoos visible, despite the fact that there was not much of her actually covered by clothing. After paying for our purchases we exited and saw her car still parked in the lot, whereupon we also saw that she had leopard skin seat covers and a blood-red cell phone. Driving away, we ultimately took note of the fact that she had two bumper stickers on her vehicle. The first said, “White Trash,” and the second advised, “My priest fucked your honor student.” You gotta love LA. Now this all of this has nothing to do with D.Minion’s observations of Dee and The Nooner cast at a recent Spice Promotional shoot, but, then, neither do the 135 pictures from Hedonism III. 5/14/04	We could tell you that today we have a nice little story about Dee and Georgia Adair doing the DVD commentary for Georgia’s very first movie for Ninn Worx. 5/12/04	Let’s face it, you can’t always want to wade through the morass of minutia than spawns forth in written form from some of the experiences in our little world. Truth be told, some people never want to, but we try not to dwell on that truth with D.Minion. Today we have an alternative reality, and for us that’s saying a lot. 5/10/04	Weighing in with part five, part six, and part seven, of what Maverick did on his winter vacation we have this positive bit of news: This makes seven parts of the story you never have to read again. Also, this time around we have his observations of Dee’s Cam Show where Anais dropped by to titillate, as it were, so you don’t even really need to pay attention to all of the strange “English-isms” … You’re probably “burnt” out anyway … On the upside, there’s no such thing as too many spread shots — at least that’s what we hear. 5/9/04	We sailed past 3,500 pages on the web site today, and you’d think in all that time we’d at least have something important to say. However, we’ve resigned ourselves to the fact that we’re just going to have to be happy hanging around with beautiful women all of the time. (At this point we were going to point out that it’s a dirty job, but you know how we abhor puns around here, so we didn’t.) We are going to politely note that today’s Ninn Worx Weekend shows off Michael’s newest release Inside Myself while rattling on about some inconsequential thing or another. On the upside, you do get to see a lot of Anais who really doesn’t have to do much to show off other than show up. 5/6/04	Driving home in the typical suburban misnomer known as “Rush Hour” the other day, I noticed a curious bumper sticker. It said, “I learned everything I needed to know in Sniper School.” You know, that’s not exactly how I remember the quaint little saying from my youth, but it does go to show that things are just a little bit unusual in LA. Take today’s D.Minion on Dee at KSEX post. We start with a stuffed monkey, pinned to a dart board and holding a red satin bra. We move to Dee dangling coat hangers from her nipples and adventurous people wearing afro wigs in rainbow colors … and then it gets weird. 5/5/04	Did y’all ever see How the Grinch Stole Christmas? Remember the little dog that the Grinch tries to make into a reindeer? Well, when the poor confused dog ends up under the sleigh, and then proceeds to jump up on the back of it, he gives the cutest little shrug and a friendly wave that at least for a moment stems the consternation evident in the Grinchy One. This wouldn’t be important here except that for as long as we’ve known Juli Ashton, she’s done this same move to signify a moment in time meaning, more or less, “I don’t know. It seemed like a good idea at the time.” So as you read about Night Calls, April 21, 2004 you might remember this thumbnail. 5/4/04	D.Minion tries to deny it, but occasionally she gets Steamed by Mainstream. When Kristal and Anais were on a “real movie” set a few months back, DM somehow seemed to miss the festive spirit. Actually most of the time “Porn People” on a “real movie” set feel like everyone would like them better if they only just had leprosy or something. Still, we like to be up front around here, so try to see through the (denied) bitterness and have some fun today.
