1/24/07	Here’s a shirt you can’t wear just everywhere: “ASS. The New Vagina.” … This and other observations come through today in the first “Dear Readers Speak” in a couple of years it seems like. Sometimes the uninitiated are so darned cute. And sometimes they’re a bit painful in their honesty. It’s interesting how “regular” people look at an event like the AVN Awards Show, and it’s equally interesting (although certainly quite a bit more odd) how many pictures our own “three amigos” seemed to take of each other. Fortunately they at least had the courtesy to include various fetching women in the photographs too. In the midst of “plowing through” we seem to have wandered down a diversion. We love that. 1/20/07	We’re taking baby steps here, not so much because of the Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss movie but because that seemed like a reasonable way to start our assault on the current queue. Consequently we decided to open with a nice little D.Minion story about getting ready for the AVN Awards show this year … with Heather Vuur, Audrey Hollander, Faith Leon, Monica Mayhem, Ruby Flame, Lorraine Sisco, and of course Dee and Kristal. There were some boys there too, but who really notices them with this cast of females? We did read a wonderfully pithy quote in a Lawrence Block book that would fit right in here. Speaking of a particularly attractive female character Mr. Block described her as sending off “a subliminal message that said, Sleep with me and you will die. But it will be worth it.” If you haven’t read the Bernie Rhodenbarr “Burglar” series by Lawrence Block, by the way, you’re missing out on some very funny and entertaining times. While you’re checking Amazon, though, you might look at these pictures and Mav’s video. That’s a fine way to spend some time too. 1/15/07	Hey, we lived through it! (Of course “lived” would be a relative term here.) You know what’s a really bad idea? Reading a Steven King (technically Richard Bachman, though) book about a grueling and ultimately fatal competition whose only characteristic happens to be that it involves lots and lots of walking, precisely while you’re attending a convention that also necessarily involves lots and lots of walking. This is a bad idea. While we’re valiantly trying to make some semblance of order of the 2,000+ pictures, a couple hours of video, multiple audio files, and more autographs then we’ve even begun to count, we thought we’d share a little joy that can come from a virus. Hey, weirdness begets weirdness, and if the Risqué site doesn’t prove that theory for you, then you haven’t really been paying attention. On the upside, we’ve recently had many opportunities to use an almost forgotten phrase, “My dogs are barkin’ now.” And if you know what that means, while you may not be a Redneck yourself, you certainly know at least one. 1/8/07	You knew, of course, that we would not be allowed to leave the LA area and head for Las Vegas before we had accomplished DM’s task of adding the Essentially Juli AND Shayla Double-DVD to the catalogue, right? Well, we did that, and then we set up some things to keep you occupied for the next week as we converge (from many points of the world, truth be told) on the annual Adult Entertainment Expo for the next week. Consider it a bonus for today, and then consider coming with us next year. 1/3/07	We learned a fun fact about the entertainment industry today. The cost of shooting ONE episode of the formerly famous TV show, Maimi Vice, actually cost more money than the budget for the entire YEAR of Miami’s actual Vice Squad. Hmm. … Well, nobody said that the entertainment industry makes sense, and so we quickly gloss over our bit of insight into that and look at some pictures of beautiful Dee, gracing the shores of Jamaica. 1/1/07	It occurred to us that peering into a Facade might be a dandy way to start the New Year, considering the business we’re in and all. We didn’t really give that enough thought considering all the football on TV today though, as even just Day One on the Set with D.Minion turned out to be one of those “thousands of words and 225 pictures” sort of DM days. Ah, well we technically made it as a New Year’s Day post anyway, assuming you happen to live in the Pacific Time Zone at least. Some times you just need to channel some old country songs as you go through life. 6/29/04	Somehow it seems fitting that one of our more colorful members can tie in a very human experience, wisdom from Juli Ashton, and a new way to look at Michael Ninn. One thing about Brother John, he’s not the type of person about whom people have no opinion. Basically, that pretty much sums up our life philosophy around here. 6/19/04	Wendy’s lingerie items have been earning some note lately, which makes a great deal of sense when you look at them. But as much as we like looking at pictures of Wendy in lingerie, it still doesn’t compare to actually seeing Wendy in person. Sadly, we’re not able to do that for this round of LA Erotica, but while the gang’s all roaming the room, compiling God knows what all, those of us not actually attending this year decided to remind everyone what a visually compelling couple Wendy Divine and Eric Masterson make. 6/16/04	I’ve been using “computers” since we stored data on cassette tapes. I remember when we thought a Ten Megabyte hard drive was just ridiculous. No one could ever use that much storage space. The “new” 3-1/4” floppies were almost as good as sliced bread. I know something about computers. But D.Minion can do things with electonics that baffle even folks a lot smarter than I am. She gets error messages that I’m pretty sure Microsoft just put in as a joke — knowing no one would really ever do what it would take to get that message. Why is this important? Because in today’s Night Calls Report, D.Minion has done some truly amazing things with her digital camera, although she claims she has no idea how. It doesn’t really matter, because Juli Ashton and Tiffany Granath (and guests) look good, no matter how you look at them. 6/8/04	Have you ever been just beside yourself with anticipation? D.Minion was on her mark with the pictures this time around, although having Anais, Dee, Isabella, and Nikita Denise as subject matter probably didn’t hurt anything. 6/7/04	You ever notice how things seem to go around in cycles? Here we hadn’t seen Lola in about a year, and then she shows up on Night Calls. We do feel sorry for Maverick, however, as there are many, many pictures from which he will have to choose his new Message Board Icon. Come to think of it, maybe that serves him right.
6/4/04	Every time we try to get “official” with our handling of the web site by programming some functions to operate automatically, we get something wrong. We end up spending a lot of time and money, and then a stupid period or space or something is in the wrong place, and everything grinds to a halt. Consequently, many of you probably didn’t see the June 1st post (below), which was supposed to work in the fancy way, but everyone seems to have seen the June 2nd post — which we did the old fashioned way. Rather than dwell on our stupidity, however, we’ve decided to just ignore it and concentrate on Day Two of Angel Cassidy’s Sex, Money, Power shoot, which has not only a bit of Anais again, but also a whole bunch of Dee. 3/23/04	OK. We finally got enough emails complaining about us not putting up the final chapter of Dee’s Cam Show to Define All Cam Shows to annoy us and spur us into motion. OK, It was actually only one email, but it was from Maverick, and he was just across the hall when he sent it, and that was annoying, so it did the trick. We also decided to post a bunch of beautiful pictures of Juli Ashton sunning herself (actually, a lot of herself) in Mexico, just to make the non-video fans happy. She and Michael have decided to try and get together more than once this year, so hopefully we’ll be seeing a little more of the lovely lady. We’re hoping to give her some subtle advice too, as this thumbnail from “Georgia at Danni’s Hard Drive” clearly shows. You see Georgia was giving a “Virtual Lap Dance” and she’s generally a very happy and smiley person, but, still, I just don’t think you should be laughing and pointing like this while giving a lap dance. 3/15/04	Wow. A special treat awaits you today, as you get to ride on a water slide with Inari Vachs and Dee, and if you’re quick, you can even catch a glimpse of Wendy Divine. Of course you can also check out Dee’s photography, using Kristal Summers as a subject, and Hedonism III in Jamaica as a backdrop. If neither of those options interest you, you could always work on your taxes, but we wouldn’t advise mentioning that to any of your friends. Oh, and we tried really, really hard not to, but we titled this post Fronds in ‘Mo Places. Sometimes we just can’t help ourselves. It’s sad. 3/12/04	Did you ever know someone that was afraid to buy a new car because they were afraid that something would happen to it, or, worse, someone would just steal it? Occasionally (and sadly) it’s easy to understand that philosophy. In today’s introspection we take a brief look at the price (and risks) of fame, particularly as they relate to our poor aggrieved friend, Inari Vachs. Someone has stolen her identity on the web, and we’ve come up with if not a certainly successful solution, at least an entertaining one. We’ve also added a bit of Greek Mythology, always good for a laugh, and 104 wonderful pictures of the even more wonderful Ms. Vachs. 3/10/04	Our Maverick friend from over the Atlantic is counting down the days until he has to return home and go back to work. After what he’s been through here, he’ll need to go back to work to rest: The vacation has to be killing him. 3/5/04	Today the dogs got a bath. Naturally D.Minion felt it vitally important to document this fact with photographs. The picture below shows the only male in our Canine Crew surveying his domain in a newly-acquired camouflage kerchief. Being just the tiniest bit irreverant, we’ve entitled it Semper Fido. You can look at even more pictures like this inside. Of course, you can also see part one of the recent cam show featuring Dee, Kristal Summers, and Mr. Marcus if you’d rather — although we can’t imagine why this would be the case. 3/4/04	D.Minion has been after us to catch up on the new “Dee KSEX Area” that Mav built. (We were going to dock his pay, and then we realized that he doesn’t actually get any, so we resolved to make him work in the dirt some more. But that’s a story for another day.) Dee also has been after us to get to work on this area, but Dee sweetened the pot by saying she’d do another cam show with secret guests if we got going on the KSEX stuff. We started today with 11/6/03 and 11/13/03. We’re relatively easy to bribe, as it turns out. As an aside, Faithful Members among us will recognize that as a tribute to our resident slave labor, Maverick, D.Minion took all of the pictures in the first set horizontally. 3/2/04	Mav’s been playing with all of the new software around here … with the predictable choice for subject matter. He’s come quite a long way with the Photoshop skills, and he’s picking up the html coding like … well, like a brash American …. Having recently observed him handle a shovel, however, we’re confident that all we needed to do to win the Revolutionary War was bury ourselves.
