I have an aversion to the word “slut.” Not sluts, per se; them I love! But the word seems a bit pejorative to me. … [And yet one must be a trifle erudite, it would appear, in order to know what the word pejorative even means. Don’t you just love irony?] I probably have more of an aversion to social media! Give me a pen and paper to write a letter any day! [Sadly, that happens to be true. We’ve tried to cure her of this quirk, but honestly that doesn’t even crack the top ten on the list of things she needs to re-learn to keep pace with modern society. Clearly most of us at risqué tend to appreciate the written word, and we happen to love porn prognostications. That comes as no surprise to anyone who has ever even glanced at one of our pages. Similarly, as you might expect, in addition to writing, we read a lot. Sometimes we even read about the adult industry — a practice often laced with no small amount of personal humor, since the majority of these writers happened to be in grade school when I first got into the business. (Actually, some of today’s “stars” had yet to be born, but we try not to talk about that little detail too much at the office. In fact, moving rapidly along appears distinctly in order at this point. … )
The AVN “Evolution” notwithstanding, we have made much mention over the past few years with regards to the transformation of the adult industry, no small part exemplified by the rise in “importance” of XBIZ and its various web incarnations. Well, they ran an article last week showing the results of a poll on the readers’ views regarding the potential for Porn Superstars in the future.
Sometimes you just want to say, “Tell me about the Rabbits, George” — y’know, metaphorically. Being able to watch a story rather than read it can be fun, after all. In those moments we turn to streaming services, and (again, because people ask) these would be our personal go-to, Hall of Fame, watch them over again, productions in that genre.
Finally, if you need help with this one, well, we feel terrible for you, but nothing we could say would help fill the sad void in your existence. Have fun storming the castle.
Although you cannot currently get it for free, we would be remiss not to mention the all-time favorite series in these Risqué parts.
Truth be told, as often as one might hear, “Age o’ The Geek, Baby!” around here, an even more popular sentiment would have to be, “There’s something wrong with her.”
